"You should totally ask her to dance once she comes back out!" Nejiere cheered. Mirio nearly spat out his drink. He managed to choke it back down and look directly at Nejiere. "Me? Why?" He sputtered and shuffled uncomfortably. "You didn't seem all that nervous when you winked at her," Nejiere puffed out her cheeks. "Because she wouldn't look at me! Don't try to change the subject." Mirio swirled the wine in his cup and put his hand against his mouth. He developed this move to try and subside nervousness, but his mind could not help but wonder about the (E/C) eyes he desperately wanted to lock with once more. He wanted to hold (Y/N) in his arms, and dance with her. Make her laugh, and comfort her when she cries. He wanted to protect her.

"Go ask her to dance! I think you'll be fine!" Mirio snapped out of his trance, when even Midoriya was rooting for him. "You better go get her before somebody else does!" Nejiere smiled. Mirio pictured (Y/N) in the arms of someone else. Little to say, he didn't like the picture. "Okay, fine. Just calm down!" Mirio chuckled, straightened his tie, and stood up. "For once, he's not focusing on his career," Nejiere mumbled, setting her head on her hand, and watched him strutt confidently to the kitchen door to wait for the (h/c) girl.

"Would you like to dance?"

(Y/N) felt a strong arm wrap around her waist and pull her closer to the cheerful blonde. He had a twinkle in his eye, like this was going to be the best decision he would ever make. (Y/N) switched her gaze between the kitchen door, and him. "I guess, I could take a little break," she mumbled, and a pink blush spread across her face. Before she knew it, the grip on her waist was gone, and she was being dragged to the dance floor. He held her hand all the way, and made sure to dodge any waiter or waitress that might stop him from getting to dance with the girl behind him. He pulled her just on the edge of the dance floor and looked directly into her sparkling (E/C) eyes. He lifted he hand gently up to his mouth and kissed it. (Y/N) was having a heart attack. "I'll make sure that you won't regret this decision," he put on a goofy smile, "Shall we?"

"I... I can't dance all to well," (Y/N) mumbled in embarrassment. Mirio, of course, gave her a soft smile, "Then I can teach you!" He caressed her hand and finally stepped on to the floor with her. He put his hand on (Y/N)'s waist again, and twirled her once before pulling her close to his warm body. (Y/N) couldn't help but melt into his touch, and little did she notice, but she was dancing with him without thinking. Her arms wrapped around his neck, and she stared into his blue orbs.

Mirio smiled, and swayed back and forth. He picked her up and spun around her, watching her hair drift with the small gust of wind. (Y/N) forgot all about her worries. She felt safe, and Daniel would no longer hurt her. Mirio watched her eyes light up, right before him. It made him happy, and warm inside. The type of warm, where you drink a cup of cocoa on a cold winter's day, while watching the snow drift and hit the ground. His heart rate sped up, and so did (Y/N)'s. He lifted her into the air again, and watched her laugh. It made him blush, how adorably beautiful she was, in the light of the chandeliers.

The song was soon over, and Mirio had to admit, it made him sad. She was giggling, and they were both breathing heavily. They had danced longer than it seemed. Mirio watched as (Y/N) brushed herself off and look back at him, with an even happier look. "Thank you for dancing with me! Maybe we can do it again sometime," she blushed, nervously. Mirio placed his hand on her cheek, and leaned in close to her. He planted a small kiss on her fore head. "I would love to," he smirked.

He let his hand fall from her face. (Y/N) wished that one moment could last forever, but she had work to do. She chuckled, "I... I have to get back to work, or my boss might fire me." "What time do you get off?" Mirio asked placing his hands on his hips, like a natural hero. "10:00 pm," she mumbled and scratched the back of her neck. "May I have your phone number? We can meet up again, if you'd like!" (Y/N) stared into his magnificent blue orbs, and slightly nodded, "Yeah, I would like that." She took her phone out and handed to him, and he did the same.

(Y/N) couldn't help but notice the way he put his name into her phone. He added a winky face at the end of it.

"Mirio ;)"

'Hopefully I didn't come off too strong there...' Mirio worriedly thought. "Do you mind if you text me once you get home? I would like to know you got back safe." (Y/N) snapped out of the spell his eyes had put on her, and nodded again. "Great! I bet my party is wondering what happened to me, so I might as well head back too. I'll be sure to see you again soon!" Mirio chuckled, and winked at her, before sliding back within the crowd.

(Y/N) watched him walk away, until he disappeared completely. She glanced at her phone again, and cherished the warm feeling growing with in her. She missed dancing with him all ready. She smiled and went to go grab a tray again.
