Your eyes fluttered open and glanced around the sterile white room, there was a burst of colour in the corner. Garcia looked up from her computer the tapping of the keys stopping mid tap. "Oh sweetie. You had us so worried." You looked around the room still silent, noticing Reid asleep on the small couch in the other corner of the room. You turned back to Garcia who was smiling with watery eyes. "What happened?" Your raspy voice filled the room. Garcia stood and picked up the glass of water that was on the bedside table. "Small sips." She warned you. A doctor walked in a few moments later, after Reid had woken up. He told you about your broken leg and how it was your only injury other than the concussion. Garcia and Reid smiled when the doctor confirmed that you could go home.

A couple months later when your leg had almost fully healed, you had been consulting from the BAU for those months. You hadn't gone into the field in those months and Reid had been secretly pleased that Emily hadn't let you out in the field. You walked out of the bullpen towards the lifts and noticed Spencer was already waiting. "What to have dinner with me?" He asked. You nodded, "Where?" Spencer seemed to consider for a few minutes. "My place, we can order Thai or something." You nodded again, "Thai sounds nice." It was a short ride over to Reid's, he rode shotgun in your car as he had taken the subway.

You didn't know how the fight even started but it had, maybe it was because of the feelings that you had for each other. Maybe the fight had started over his protective nature towards you, it had gotten slightly stronger when Morgan had left. He hadn't wanted you to leave either. "You don't need to be so protective over me, Spencer, I can take care of myself."

"Well if you hadn't gotten into that accident, I wouldn't need to protect you." The air stilled. Spencer saw the raw fear in your eyes. You grabbed your bag and coat, thankful that your 'date' had been at his place and not yours so you could leave. You childishly slammed the door behind you. Spencer's heart broke and came to stuttering stop in his chest. He raced over to the door, but you were gone. He ran down the stairs to the door out the apartment complex, you were nowhere in sight. He swore under his breath and tried his pockets for his phone. He couldn't find it, so he raced back to his apartment to call you. You never picked up.

A few days after the blow out argument, you had returned to the BAU having been on temporary assignment. After the day's workload, paperwork, which was a little annoying as this had been what you had been doing while your leg had been healing.

Spencer waited until you had gone home, he bought a bouquet of purple hyacinths by way of apology. You opened the door shortly after he had knocked. "I'm sorry. I never should have mentioned your accident. Truthfully, seeing you like that, unconscious in the hospital bed, terrified me. I don't want to lose, I never want to lose you." You stared at him, as he spoke. He handed you the hyacinths. You smiled and opened the door wider, so he could enter. You placed the hyacinths in vase and filled it with water. Spencer looked at your bookcase to try and calm his racing heart. You turned to face Spencer again, he seemed to have made his mind up about something and he leaned forwards and cupped your face in his hands. He leaned down to your height, you rose slightly on your tiptoes and your lips met. Spencer passed an arm around your waist pulling you closer to him as well as pulling you up higher, so he could reach your lips. After the impromptu make out session, you spent the rest of the night, lying on your bed, curled into Spencer's side listening to the rain while his fingers moved through your hair.
