Job Offer:: Neville Longbottom

It has been three years since the Battle of Hogwarts and since then the school was being rebuilt. The Great Hall, the courtyard, all the rest of the castle was being restored to the point it almost had looked like nothing ever happened. All of us had graduated, and since then moved on, to becoming healers at St. Mungos, owning or running a successful joke shop, playing professionally on quidditch teams all across Europe, we all had gone off to do different things.

My husband, Neville Longbottom and I had moved to a nice flat in London when something unexpected happened. Neville had gotten a letter from Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft and he was just as excited as he was when he was just 11 years old.

He opened the letter and took his precious time reading the detailed letter, as he was nearing the end his face had lit up like a child on Christmas.

"What is it Nev?" I asked from my spot on the couch.

"Headmistress Mcgonagall had invited me to teach Herbology. Professor Sprout retired and they need a new professor." He smiled. His now straightened teeth shining bright.

"Oh my god babe that's amazing!" I said as I leaped up and jumped into his arms. He caught me and started cheering along.

"Should I take it?"

"Of course you should, you love Herbology and you love Hogwarts."

"That I do, I'm sure the pay is nice too, but she wants us to move into the castle, in the teachers dormitories."

"Then we'll do it."

"But what about your quidditch playing?"

"I'm sure Wood will let me move with you, he may be team captain but he is just the same as he was at Hogwarts." I chuckled.

Yes, I play professional Quidditch and Oliver Wood is the team captain and my boss for that matter. We are family friends outside of work, he gets along well with Neville and I get along well with Katie, our families often get together for dinner.

**** time to skip to when you and Neville move into the dorms at Hogwarts.****

We had arrived to Hogwarts just like we had when we were students. We got off the train and a shocked Hagrid stood welcoming back the students.

"Neville? Y/N? Did you two get married yet?"

"Yes in fact we did." I smirked showing off my ring.

"Wow congratulations, what are you two doing here?"

"I got a letter from Headmistress saying that there was an opening for Herbology."

"There is, so I'm taking it that you are going for the job?"

"I am."

"I'm sure the professors would love to see you two back. Your fellow classmates children are here for the first time."

"Really?" I asked shocked, hoping to meet the small versions of our friends.

"Yes, James and Albus Potter, Fred and Roxanne Weasley, Rose Granger- Weasley, Scorpius Malfoy."

"Wait, Draco procreated?" Neville asked shocked as Hagrid nodded trying not to laugh.

"Well we better get to Headmistress." I said, pulling Neville with me as we followed the students to get to the school, old memories flooding back as we sat on the canoes and entered the school.

We went a separate route to Headmistress's office where she was inside. We opened the door and she looked exactly the way she did when we were students.

"Mr. Longbottom, it's so nice to see you again." She stood up and fluffed his hair.

"Ms Y/L/N, it's good to see you too."

"Still playing quidditch I hear?"

"Yes, with Oliver Wood. He's basically my boss as he is captain." I said as she sat down at her desk and Neville sat down across from her, giving her information that she needs for him to take the job as Professor. She wrote down some notes with her magical quill and in the last question she cut him off.

"Mr Longbottom, I have all the information I need." She smiled kindly.

"You got the job, Professor Longbottom. Here is your key to your teachers dormitory. Surely you know how to get there." She waved over a map that was similar to the Maurader's Map and moved.

"Yes Ma'am, thank you very much." Neville shook her hand as he stood up, and guided me to our new home for as long as he is professor.
