Prefect :: Percy Weasley

"I'm very pleased to announce that y/n l/n is now a prefect." Dumbledore announced as I cheered, finally I got to become a prefect which is something I've always wanted to do, especially since I've met Percy Weasley.

Percy took his role of being a prefect very seriously and didn't let anyone cross the line. Including myself.

I smiled as the rest of my house cheered for my promotion, and I looked over at Percy to see him smiling at me, nodding slightly before engaging in conversation with Harry Potter.

Percy and I were best friends, I hoped for something more but wouldn't risk the friendship, Percy's been there for me when no one else was and that costs far too much.

I feel like Percy might reciprocate those feelings back, but I'm not going to take a chance. Or at least, not yet.

After dinner we all walked out of the great hall and to our respective house common rooms, as Percy and I started to patrol the halls once they were cleared.

"Congrats on the promotion." Percy said sternly, as he put on his 'prefect' face.

"Why thank you Perce, now I can spend even more time with my best friend." I smiled at him as his face stiffened.

My heartbeat quickened in hope that maybe tonight we will confess our hidden feelings.

"Perce, you okay?" I grabbed his arm as he continued walking, pulling me with him.

"Yeah, I-um, just-um." He stammered, never have I seen him so nervous.

"Are you sure? You're never nervous." I chuckled as he looked down at me before closing the gap between us, pulling me into a passionate kiss. When he pulled away he opened his eyes, as I beamed at him his cheeks turned bright pink.

"Sorry, I just had to."

"No no, I actually quite enjoyed it. You're a great kisser Percy Weasley."

"And you y/n l/n are a pretty great kisser too, maybe I can have the privilege of kissing you again sometime?" He smirked and I nodded as he grabbed my hand and we continued our prefect duties together.
