Jeongguk swore his heart stopped beating for a second as he stared at his display.

As if hypnoticed, he listened to his ringtone, wondering what was happening.

Luckily, he realized soon enough to pick up before the person on the other end could give up.

"H-hello?"

"Hi, Jeon."

"Oh my god."

Jeongguk couldn't believe his ears. Was this real? Was his mind playing tricks on him? Maybe he fell straight asleep when he went to bed and was now dreaming.

"What's wrong?"

This voice. It was a female voice. Unknown to Jeongguk. It was a little lower than most of the fakely high pitched girl voices but nevertheless had a soft touch to it.

"Hello? Jeon, can you hear me?"

The said boy snapped out of his thoughts, feeling the tips of his ears warm up.

"Uh, yes. I can."

"Oh okay, you've been silent for a while. I was worrying the line died."

The brown haired male shook his head, feeling stupid aferward since the other wasn't able to see him.

"Yun? Is that you?"

Jeongguk's heart made a jump as he heard a suppressed giggle from the other side.

"No, it's Jeremy Renner, I heard you're planning to stalk me."

A whole-hearted chuckle left the boy's lips.

"Who else, coconut?"

Jeongguk's smile only deepened at this before he started wondering.

"Why did you call me?"

"Oh, uhm, you w-we're complaining about not seeing each other, so I-I thought calling you would make you h-happy."

There was a small silence when Jeongguk heard the younger sigh.

"Sorry, that was a stupid idea."

There was another silence, causing the girl to almost end the call when Jeongguk stopped her.

"Your voice is nice. Just like I imagined it."

A mess of giggles, teasings and life stories followed quickly, keeping the two up the whole night.
