Hey y'all!!!! Long time no see!!! Finally getting a little time to write; working summer school and just accepted a new job offer at the district I graduated from so I'm getting ready for this. I was planning on posting this chapter up but my first of summer school got me beat and ended up getting a migraine 😭😭. Anyway, here is this chapter and I'm sorry for any errors. I will go back when I get the chance. Best wishes to everyone!!!

Previously:

Tai was no longer human but a true Child of the Moon; a werewolf. He lunged himself at the vampire as the vampire attempted to dodge Tai's attack but with no avail. Tai clawed at the vampire, breaking his limbs as the vampire screamed in pain. Using his teeth, Tai ripped off the vampires head off and the vampire was no more.

(Name) pulled out a lighter from her pocket (one that Sam gave to her as a kid) and cautiously walked over to Tai and the remains of the defeated vampire. The werewolf turned to look at her with a menacing look, making (Name) stop in her tracks. Tai's werewolf form eyed her, his teeth bared as if he was ready to attack once more but quickly ran off into the forest, leaving (Name) alone with the mess. Using the lighter, she began to burn the remains. After that, she quickly made her way out of the forest and back to the mansion, knowing well that even though Tai and her were alright now, he was still dangerous during his werewolf form.

Sam eyed (Name)'s injured arm that had been tucked safely in a sling as he waited for a response from her. "What happened?" Sam questioned lowly as his gaze flickered over at Jacob who had been standing by the door, a pained expression on the young male's face.

(Name) returned a day after the pack and the Cullens defeated the Newborn Army. Sam had called his little sister once Paul and the others were able to move Jacob after getting injured from trying to help Leah from a surviving vampire who attempted to take her out.

Needless to say, once Tai changed back to his original form, he was able to get a jet for (Name) to get home quickly. She felt small as Sam's gaze fell heavy on her. She scratched her cheek with her forefinger, a habit she formed when she felt nervous during stressed situations. "A vampire showed up and almost attacked Tai and I," (Name) explained lowly as she glanced over to Jacob who's expression changed slight anger. "He... he managed to kill it.. I'm not sure how, but he did."

"What do you mean you don't know how?" Jacob growled lowly, his voice startling (Name) for the first time since she arrived home. "Vampires aren't easily destroyed especially by humans unless he—."

Jacob stopped himself, his fist tightening against his side. (Name) wasn't dense as she knew a human can't kill one unless it was another vampire or something. "What is he?" Jacob questioned, his voice so low and sharp that it could cut paper with its precision.

(Name) leaned back against the couch as she closed her eyes, attempting to relax as the pain began to course throughout her shoulder. Her body trembled as she felt Jacob's hand grasp on her shoulder, squeezing it gently. "I'll ask again; what is he?! What do you know?!"

"I can't say!" (Name) snapped in annoyance, anger bubbling at her throat all while the pain began to become unbearable. "I can't tell any of you because I promised I wouldn't say!"

"You're not going to say anything because you know damn well that he's a child of the moon!" Jacob shouted as Sam scolded him to knock it off.

She glared at him as she rose up from her spot and headed to her room, leaving the two shapeshifters in the living room.

"That's a harsh accusation to go by Jacob," Sam murmured to his comrade. "No one has seen a werewolf since the Volturi went after them a long time ago. If anything, they're extinct beings---"

"I know what I said doesn't make sense, but how else would a vampire be destroyed if it wasn't one of us?" Jacob retorted back as Sam crossed his arms, his mind in thought at the plausible. "You know that (Name) isn't capable of phasing like the rest of us."

"Yeah but," Sam moved his gaze towards Jacob. "Even so, it isn't possible. What if it was (Name) instead of Tai? Just look at Leah."

"I wouldn't have been able to imprint on her if she were able to," Jacob replied back with a matter-of-fact tone, making Sam slightly chuckle.

"Guess you're right, but still," Sam said as he moved out towards the porch as Jacob followed behind. "We're going to need to find out what Tai really is and hopefully we're on the same side."

(Name) moved her hand back and forth on smooth rock she sat comfortably on as she waited for Tai by the beach. It was Saturday; three days have passed since she got back and had the altercation with Sam and Jacob. Jacob's assumption had been right that day, but she wasn't going to say anything especially if werewolves are not supposed to be around. She doesn't want to put Tai in harm's way for what he is even if it means protecting him from the person who imprinted on her.

"Sorry to have kept you waiting," a familiar voice spoke behind, causing her to turn around and seeing her savior.

"No worries Tai," (Name) sincerely smiled as she scooted a bit to give Tai some to sit on.

She moved her gaze at the waves swaying back and forth ashore, a mesmerizing scene that keeps her worries at bay. The serene way the place was comforted her as Tai took a seat beside her. "Thanks for saving me the other day," (Name) quipped as Tai looked at her with curious eyes.

"Why thank me?" Tai asked as he grabbed a small pebble and threw into the water. "There's no need for it. I would save you in a heartbeat."

"Because I'm chivalrous," (Name) half-heartedly joked. "But in all seriousness, I'm saying thank you because you put yourself in danger knowing well werewolves are a rare occurrence."

Tai stayed quiet for awhile, thinking of what (Name) said. "There's only a handful of us left. Three of us live here in La Push," Tai confided. "Please... don't tell anyone we still exist."

"I won't tell anyone," (Name) said softly, raising her pinky finger as Tai smiled before hooking his with hers. "So how did you become one?"

Tai chuckled a bit at the innocent gesture of promise, bringing his hands to his lap and stared at them. "We were born this way," Tai explained. "The full moon transformation didn't happen until I was six though."

(Name) pondered, not knowing what to day as he continued to talk. Werewolves were different compared to what her brothers were as she listened. "... I know it's not something you're used to since I know the legends and stories are different from ours but I hope your opinion of me doesn't change due to what I am."

"You're still you Tai," (Name) replied sincerely. "I don't think of you as any different to well... my brother and his pack. I'm not afraid of you."

(Name) gave Tai a gentle smile before judging his side. "Now that we talked about this, why don't we go get some ice cream?" (Name) asked cheekily.

"Sure," Tai accepted. "But I pay."
