We watch survivor for hours. We did take a break to eat some dinner, but it's such a good show.
"I think we all need to go back to school." I say, "Soon. My cuts are almost fully healed."
"I guess if you want to." Marie says.
"No, You're not going back to school yet. I don't want to risk Dominique hurting you." Sage says.
"Who's Dominique?" Val asks.
"The Devil." We all say in unison. We all laugh and Val looks worried.
"I was actually thinking about transferring back into your school. Sage would it make you feel better if I have the same schedule as Eden, so I can look after her?" I shake my head.
"No, come on that's not necessary." I say.
"Actually I think that's a great idea. Val was sort of involved in the gang and she has training experience. I think we should do it." Sage says. Marie nods agreeing.
"Okay, so it's settled. I'll go in on Monday and get that figured out." Val says.
"I'm exhausted so I'm going to head upstairs." Marie says.
"Val are you staying over?" I ask, she nods. Then Sam walks in.
"Me and Charles have made up our minds, Eden can stay in Sage's room. But only if someone else is in there too. Do either of you girls volunteer?" She asks Marie and Val. They both stay silent. "Okay, Shawn it is then." Sam says.
Sage lets out a deep sigh next to me.
"What?" I say.
"He's going to bug me about this forever now." He says and lets out a half hearted chuckle.
"Alright well goodnight guys." Marie and Val say as they walk up the stairs.
"Goodnight." Me and Sage say.
"So, Shawn." I say.
"Yeah, what about him?" Sage asks.
"I don't know. What's his story?"
"Um, well, he's been in the gang for a while, same with his family. We've been best friends since we were 5, and he's the inner gangs muscle." He says.
"The inner gang?" I ask.
"It's basically family and trustworthy people who are in families who've been part of this gang for a while." He says.
"And what are you?" I ask.
"Well, like I said before, I'm the heir thing. I'll take over the gang when my father can't do it anymore, or whenever he thinks I'm ready. I don't really want to though." He says the last part quietly, "Oh and Shawn's transferring into our school. He actually dropped out of his old school so he could focus on the gang but we've been getting, threats, from rival gangs because our business has been great lately and their not happy, so he's going to be at school to help protect us. We're all highly trained though. I think we're going to train you." He says.
"Why would you train me?" I ask perplexed.
"Because I can see having you in my life. I need you to know how to protect yourself." He says.
He can see having me in his life?
I smile at the thought.
"What are you smiling about? Not that seeing you smiling is a bad thing." He says.
"Just that you can see having me in your life." I say, "I think I can see having you in my life too." He smiles such a big smile that I think his lips will fall off of his face, but instead they come down onto mine. He pulls me onto his lap while deepening the kiss.
