It was time for practice. The members of Inazuma Japan went to the field. They were practicing when...

"Mamoru!"

Everyone turned to see Fidio Aldena running towards them while waving. Behind him was Mark, Ichinose, Dylan, Edgar, Teres. "Fidio! Mark! Dylan! Ichinose! Edgar! Teres!" Endou exclaimed. Everyone of the team ran towards them.

"Why're you guys here?" Endou asked. "We were called over by your coach," Mark explained. Just then, coach Kudou called went over to them. "That's right. I have just received a message. All of you will be playing in the dark games as the representatives of the human race," Kudou said reading a letter.

"T-The Dark Games?" Endou asked in shock. Everyone knew that game. Kudou nodded. "Every year there is said to be a game of fighting and killing. Last year, the representatives of the human race have been wiped out. So you guys are to replace them," Kudou said.

"Wiped out?!" Endou repeated. "You're wrong. Not all of them are wiped out. The representatives who are not wiped out will also take part again this year. But we will be playing too," Fubuki said in rather cold voice.

"How do you know?" Kidou asked. Fubuki remained silent. "If we are the representative of the human race, who are we playing against? And why us?" Hiroto asked.

"I don't know. The government always keep the details of the Dark Games a secret so there is no way people like us would have a clue on what it's about," Kudou said. "We will be playing against vampires, demons, serial killers and creatures like that. We are representative of the humans. Or rather more normal than the others," Fubuki said.

"Why us?" Hiroto repeated. "I don't know. But be prepared. Worst case scenario, you die," Fubuki said in a cold tone. They have never heard Fubuki talk so cold before. "I don't know why, your attitude reminds me of Fudou," Kidou muttered.

"When will this Dark Games be held? Can we not participate?" Endou asked. Everyone didn't like the sounds of the Dark Games. "It will be held tomorrow. There is no way you can quit the Dark Games," Kudou said.

"No way..." Endou muttered. Everyone was scared. They didn't like the sounds of dying. "Oh. The letter said Fubuki Shirou must be the leader," Kudou added.

"Hai (Yes)," Fubuki said looking away and sighing. "Tomorrow. Meet here at 7:00 am in the morning. We will be setting out. We have to reach there before 1:00 pm," Kudou said.

"We have to make it there with everyone. If someone is missing, that someone would die," Kudou said. Everyone knew that they could not escape from the Dark Games anymore. "We won't be training today. You guys need your rest before fighting," Kudou then walked away.

"Look, it would be troublesome, just try not to die. Because that would be even more troublesome," Fubuki said in an icy cold tone before waking away too. "What the heck is his problem?" Teres muttered. "Mamoru, he's... Your teammate, right?" Fidio asked. "Yeah... But he's not usually like this. He's normally kind and warm hearted," Endou explained.

"I wonder what's gotten into him. He seemed to have became cold right after the Dark Games were mentioned," Tsunami said. "Oh well..... I hope he's alright," Endou said. "To think he's going to be our leader," Teres said shaking his head. Then, they had a practice match.
