I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder quite roughly, so naturally I shoved their hand away, but I didn't think about my strength until a big thud was heard. I opened my eyes to seem Timothy rubbing his head after hitting it on the window.

"Sorry..." I mumble before stretching out my stiff limbs. I looked out the windows and gasped. "Why didn't you wake me sooner? How did you drive that long!?" I slapped Timothy's shoulder and glared at him.

"Trust me, I tried waking you, but you didn't budge. You slept nearly fourteen hours! I took breaks and got food and stuff, but seriously you're a rock." He shook his head before climbing out of the car.

I followed suit and helped him retrieve the bags, but I was soon enough tackled to the ground.

"Mary you can't fucking do that to me! You can't just push me around like that!" Izzy exclaimed as she squeezed all the air out of me.

"Can't...Breathe..." I managed before she let me go and we both stood up. Her eyes scanned over my body before she glared at me.

"What happened? You can't just go walking around picking fights, Mary!"

"I didn't!" I rolled my eyes. "His goons attacked me." I shrugged before making my way past my sister. She groaned in frustration at my vagueness, but there were too many ears and eyes around us. Before I entered the house, I told my sister we would begin training in two hours.

As I turned the last corner to my room, I hit a very familiar being. I nearly fell to the ground as I dropped my bag, before someone grabbed onto my shoulders. Sparks ignited throughout my body making me close my eyes and resist the urge to moan. All too soon the hands were removed and the dull pain returned to my chest. I quickly took a step back and retrieved my bag before looking into those deep green eyes.

His eyes scanned over my body, taking in all my wounds before connecting our eyes again. He looked mad. Actually pissed would probably suit him better, no furious. His green eyes kept flashing between green and black. It pained me to know that I did something to make him upset, what a great mate I am.

I heard about mates helping when their mate wasn't in control, so I hesitantly reached out and took Ace's hand. Instantly the sparks returned and I felt complete, briefly. After a moment, he removed his hand and grunted weirdly.

"What happened to you?" He growled out.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest, trying not to show how his little signs of rejection were cutting deep into my heart.

"Just a little brawl." I reply.

"Cut the bullshit, you look like you've been run over by a truck. Who attacked you?" He demanded taking a step closer.

Wow, what a nice compliment...

"They were just some dumbasses looking for something. Nothing I couldn't handle." I said trying to keep it vague. I knew the consequences of letting the other rogue get away, but I could handle that on my own.

Ace rolled his eyes and went to walk past me, but I called his name, catching his attention.

"Um..." I started. Why am I even asking this? "Why did you lie about there being a Luna in line?"

Before I could even blink, I was pressed against the wall with his forearm to my throat. He looked ready to kill and I would bet I had fear rolling off me in waves. He had the upper hand, I couldn't budge from this position to defend myself. Ace wouldn't actually kill his mate, would he?

"You better watch your place." He spat at me as his eyes looked into my soul. "You may be a Guardian, but these are my lands and I am the Alpha. The only reason I'm letting you stay in my home is because your sister asked me to and I happen to respect her."

I could feel his breath fanning my face, making me feel hot as his body pressed up against mine. Once he saw that I got his message clear, he released me, letting me fall to the ground before leaving. I sighed and stood up from the ground, grabbing my bag once again before heading to my room.

I guess I really hit a nerve there...

-

"Come on, Izzy! I know you're stronger than that!" I yell at her as I dodge another one of her energy orbs.

While I get my strength from my ancestors and the moon, Izzy gets her strength from the earth. With my teaching, she has been able to form water and fire, while also being able to control air around her. Her hits were weak, though, she was unfocused.

Izzy threw another ball of energy, but I caught it before sending it back to her before continuing to attack her with my own power sources. She tried blocking as many as she could, but eventually one hit her sending her flying to the ground. I stood over her with my hands on my hips, not happy with the results I was seeing. I know this is only her first day, but I was dodging boulders my first day of training and I was only seven! Guardians usually are trained harder, but Izzy is going to be the ruler of all werewolves and she needs to be trained harder than anyone.

"I can't take this anymore!" Izzy growled before standing and shaking in her place. I saw her eyes shifting colours, so I decided to test a theory of mine.

"Too bad, we've barely begun." I pushed, stepping only a foot away from her.

Her eyes turned black and she growled again before shifting into her gigantic, beautiful, grey wolf. I knew she had more authority than I did, but I wasn't a wolf and therefore didn't experience the ranks as wolves did. I stared her straight in the eyes, taunting her to make a move.

Her wolf growled once more before pouncing, sending us tumbling to the ground below. She landed on top of me and tried to bite my neck, but I blocked her with a punch. My theory was correct, she was unfocused because Izzy's wolf was restless. She hadn't shifted since the first time and was also being ordered around, newly shifted wolves don't appreciate orders, especially leaders. Her wolf probably didn't even know a bite to the neck could kill me, unlike biting another wolf would only harm them.

With all my strength, I shoved her away just enough for me to hit her wolf with an energy blast sending her flying across the clearing and hitting a tree. Izzy fell to ground and whimpered. I sighed knowing she wouldn't get up for a while, so I made my way over to my things to get a drink of water.

"What the hell did you do?" A voice growled. I turned to see Liam standing a few feet away, shaking in his place. Great, another angry wolf.

I shrugged and made my way over to my sister, who had shifted back. I helped her up and inspected her for injuries, only seeing slight bruising which would heal within the hour.

"She needs to be trained in her wolf form." I spoke.

Liam quickly wrapped his arms around his naked mate, who seemed a little drained. I guess I may have gone a little too harshly on Izzy.

"I'll do it." Liam said as he picked up his mate.

"No, I'll get Timothy to train with her." I said as I cleaned up our things. "You will be no use to Izzy if you're constantly worried about her. She needs to be trained harder than anybody and with that comes injuries, you probably wouldn't even let her into combat if you could avoid it."

Liam thought it over before agreeing. Izzy had already fallen asleep in her mate's arms as we walked back. Soon enough it was dark and I found myself sleeping restlessly knowing that I was alone once again.
