Jenna Stark was just like her father

Jenna Stark was just like her father. Cool, smart, stubborn and they both had a soft spot for Peter Parker. (She just didn't know she did, yet.)

Jenna was working on an upgrade for her father's suit with Bruce, quite honestly it was how she spent most of her time. She loved creating new suits and machines but she especially loved fixing thing. She was almost done with the upgrade when Bruce huffed and looked up at her.

"Can you please get me a water bottle?" He asked in a too-sweet voice.

Jenna wiped the sweat off her forehead, "sure" she answered with a laugh before getting up from her chair.

She left the lab and made her way to the kitchen. She wiped her dirty hands on her black jeans and tightened her pony tail before grabbing two water bottles. When she turns around, she stops right in her tracks.

"Whoa, who's this?" She asks, not taking her eyes off the boy in front of her.

"Jenna, I'd like to introduce you to someone." Tony says, motioning to the boy. The three of them stand in silence for a moment, the boy not realizing he was supposed to be introducing himself.

"Does it speak?" Jenna asked raising an eyebrow and turning to her dad who was also trying to hold back a laugh.

"This is the part where you say your name, kid." Tony says, placing a hand on his shoulder. This seems to break the boy out of his little trance.

"Right! Um, I'm Peter. Peter Parker." He stumbles over his words before putting out an awkward hand to shake.

"Jenna. Jenna Stark." She answers, copying his response and shaking his hand. Peter just gulps, obviously he knew who she was. He had seen a picture of her come up on Mr. Stark's phone and all he talked about at lunch for the past month was how pretty her eyes were. He couldn't wait to report back to Ned and tell him that she was even prettier in person. And also a little bit scarier.

"Well it was nice to meet you Peter Parker but I've got a dude waiting for a water bottle and if I don't get it to him he might start smashing shit." She says, sending him a wink and leaving Peter to pinch himself, thinking this was all just a dream.

Later that night Jenna was sitting on her laptop when Tony sits don't next to her.

"How was your day with the kid?" Jenna asks.

"Good." He replies, typing quickly on his phone.

"One word answer. Truly riveting." She deadpans.

"Uh... hold on, I'm just texting the principal at Midtown High and.... uh, yeah okay, you're in!" He says, looking up at her.

"In what?!" Jenna rolls her eyes, still completely clueless.

"I need someone to keep an eye on Peter. Great kid but total idiot sometimes. So you, my beautiful, wonderful, kind, smart, gifted-"

"Okay! I get it." She cuts him off.

"-are going to Midtown to hang out with Peter or at least keep an eye on him while I go to India!" He finishes with a big grin.

"So I'm babysitting? I'll do it." She says with a shrug.

The next day, Tony drove Jenna to school, which of course ended in a form of organized chaos. Everyone was talking about the new girl and a hush fell over the students when they noticed Tony Stark pull up.

"See you later, Dad." Jenna said, grabbing her backpack from the back seat.

"Knock em dead!" Tony shouts.

"That's the plan." Jenna says with a smirk before throwing her backpack over her shoulder and turning around.

Peter and Ned were walking towards the school's entrance where a crowd seemed to form.

"What's going on?" Peter asked, glancing at Ned who looked just as confused. Peter used his enhanced senses to pick up on conversations, hearing "new girl" and "Tony Stark." He almost choked. No way. There was no way in hell that Jenna Stark would be at Midtown High.

The crowd began to part ways for someone and that's when he saw her. She was wearing a gray t-shirt, black ripped jeans and black converse, completed with a black leather jacket. Her outfit screamed "don't fuck with me" but her smile said "I wouldn't hurt a fly."

Everyone took a step back for her and she walked with her shoulders tall, not stopping for anyone or giving a single person a second glance... except for Peter Parker.

"Hey Parker." She said with a wink before continuing on her way. Ned grabbed Peter's arm and began to shake him.

"Dude dude dude dude dude! Since when do you know Jenna Stark?!"

"Met her yesterday." Peter mumbled, still in awe of the girl that had just passed.

The school day progressed as normal as it possibly could considering that Jenna Stark was now gracing the halls. Peter slumped down into his seat in Chemistry, happy to finally be able to work on his web fluid in peace.

"What kind of webs are you making?" A whisper asked from behind him, causing him to jump and his face to drain with color.

"I-uh, don't know what you're talking about." Peter lied.

"Don't play dumb, Peter. My dad told me." Jenna said with a hard look.

"Oh. Cool." Peter rushed. Jenna worked on the lab for the rest of the period before the bell rang and Peter practically sprinted out of the room.

It was time for lunch and the cafeteria was filled with an unfamiliar buzz. Everyone was dying to know where Jenna was going to sit. When she finally did walk in, a hush fell over the students. Jenna just smirked, she loved having everyone in the palm of her hands like this, every person eager to see where she was going to sit. Tony said she was an attention whore and she just said like father like daughter. She glanced at all of the tables, students smiling as large as they could, hoping it would be enough for Jenna to sit with them.

She walked past the popular table, the jocks, the preppy kids, the stoners, the band geeks, the theater nerds, mathletes and every other group until she stood in the very back of the cafeteria. Peter and Ned had not even noticed that Jenna was standing there, assuming she would've sat with Liz or Flash or someone cooler.

"This seat taken?" She asks and both boys look up, eyes wide.

"Of course not! Please sit with us!" Ned gushed.

Jenna smiles at him and the second her ass touched the seat, conversations erupted behind her. Every student (including Peter and Ned) in disbelief that Jenna Stark was sitting at the loser table.
