They landed on Earth after traveling for 5 hours. As soon as the feet of the ship touched down, everyone rushed Steven to the hospital where Connie's mom worked. Lapis, Peridot, and Bismuth followed with Lapis carrying Steven. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl stayed behind to look after the house
"I'll call Greg." Pearl pulled her phone out of her gem and dialed the number
Connie yelled as they rushed into the hospital. "Mom!!! Help!!!"
"Connie?! What's wrong? Are you hurt?!"
Connie sniffed and said "No. But Steven is. You have to help him please!"
Connie's mom grabbed a hospital bed and had Lapis lay Steven on it. Suddenly, other doctors and nurses crowded around the bed and rushed him into a room. Connie followed closely behind but her mother stopped her
"I'm sorry Connie but you can't go in with him. We have to run some tests first."
"But he's my friend! I don't want to leave his side."
"I know sweetie but you know the rules. Standard procedure." She walked away, leaving Connie standing in an empty hallway
Connie couldn't help her curiosity and she peeked inside the room from the window. But then, she immediately regrets it. Steven is covered in wires, wearing a blood pressure cuff and a nasal cannula
She turned around and sat in one of the chairs nearby. She put both her of her hands over her eyes and sobbed quietly into them. The three gems glanced at each other and all sat down next to the girl, comforting her
