Chapter 10

i wake before everyone... in fact i think its not even 5 am yet.

i check the clock and see its 4;30am

i sigh and get up to go the bathroom so i can go to the hotsprings

its slightly chilly but still warm enough for me to head to the springs with just a towel around me.

i slide in and feel my muscles relax. i feel so at peace looking up at the dark sky, i see stars and clouds above me making me feel happy and relaxed.

i hear footsteps and see Genko walking towards me

"morning" i call softly

"morning rin" he says with a soft smile on his tired looking face.

he gets in next to me and we talk about our team and our friends, training routines

"so genko any girls you have your eyes on?" i ask with my eyebrows going up and down.

"not a single one" he tells me shrugging

"how about you? any boys?" he asks

"well i cant... im engaged" i tell him

he looks at my surprise

"to the Uchiha heir.. clan treaty" i tell him in a noncaring voice

"don't you want to find and marry someone you love?" genko says

"i do love itachi maybe not in the way i want to marry him, but im fine with it. we'll be happy" i say glancing at Genko

"but that like a friendship kinda love" genko says

i laugh a little and say "i don't believe in that kindve love" i tell him in a monetone voice while thinking of my parents.

"why not?" he asks

"im not sure, it just seems untrue.. men cheat, women cheat... people lie. i don't want to ever get heart broken... i don't want a relationship like my par... like my parents" i tell him truthfully still with my voice sounding dull

"what do you mean?" genko asks

"all my parents do is fight with each other... they only stay together for mine and shikamarus sake" i say feeling sad

genko doesn't say anything.

"before my parents died... my dad cheated on my mom... so i actually have a little sister somewhere" genko tells me

i look at him "are you happy with that?" i ask

"i kindve am but im hurt that he did that..." genko tells me

"i hope neither of my parents cheat... i don't think i could look at them ever again" i tell him

"i hope so too" he tells me

"whats your sisters name?" i ask

"temari she doesn't live in the village though" genko tells me

"where does she live than?" i ask

"the sand village" he tells me

"does she know?" i ask

"no... but her i guess adoptive/ step father does" he tells me

we talk a bit more and we agree if we ever go to suna, we'll ask to see temari.

"we should go" i tell genko as i see the sun rise

genko and i hop out with our soaking wet towels sticking to us.

i use the wind justu and dry us quickly.
