Chapter 12

Haru's P.O.V.

after Genko had told me I had tried to find a hiding place but no luck.

the guys had found me and were ready to attack.

I pulled a kunai and stood my ground knowing there was no point in trying to run

"hes and anbu.." on says

"hes a kid" the other says smugly

"even more impressive" the first one says

the taller buffer one with the deep voice attacks first.

I block his kunai with my own.

I jump back putting space between us.

I feel wind on my left and see the other guy attacking.

I roll away dodging.

they keep it up. one attacks then right away the other does.

I wasn't able to cover myself completely and I had a slash along my arm and a sore stomach from a punch I had received.

I was scared. thinking I was going to die as the buffer one came at me with a kunai inches from my head.

but thankfully he was knocked away by someone

I then realize its Rin

"R-Bird" I say

genko appears and starts fighting the other one

I hear genko grunt as he receives a punch in the leg.

rin and the buff guy fight hand to hand, rin putting in a lot of punches and kicks. she looked graceful as she dodged and attacked

I quickly grabbed a bandage from my ninja pack and wrapped it around my cut before leaping in to help genko that was having more trouble, it was a tough decision but I think I had made the right one.

as genko and I fight I hear rins grunts as she starts to slow due to being hit.

"whats going on??" I hear sensei's voice

"busy" I hear rin reply as she dodges

sensei doesn't reply and we continue our fight against these probably higher ranked ninja.

"these kids don't seem like anbu" the guy that genko and I were fighting says

"they don't" the man says well trying to punch rin.

we hear a slight scream from the man rin was fighting but neither of us knowing what had happened.

a thud is heard from behind and I hear rin give a large sigh.

knowing shes ok genko and I both go in for the distracted man.

he gets hit and he stares at us before getting up and racing towards the fort.

"stop him" rin says already on his tail

genko and I try to keep up but in our state we couldn't

"rin stop" genko says into the earpiece

" I cant, if I do hell get back up and we'll be screwed. go back and take care of the other guy" rin says

"listen to her" sensei's voice says in a whisper again.

I look at genko and we head back.

we look at the guy and see he's basically dead. he's bleeding out from multiple stabs along his back and stomach

he grunts as he pulls out another kunai that was lodged into his chest

"she's skilled..." the guy tells us clearly very week
