TIME SKIP!!!!!!!!!
it had been 3 years I was now an Anbu. Genko and Haru were also Anbu but they had a different team than me sadly.
I was on my way to the hokage office when I got sight of itachi
"hey weasel" I shout and he turns and looks at me smiling.
"hey Rin" he says walking over to me and hugging me
"its been awhile, Where have you been?" I ask
" I had a mission in suna" he tells me as a girl appears griping on his arm,
"itachiiii why'd you ditch me" the girl complains
"sorry, I saw an old friend" he says, he also gives me that wink which tells me to help him
"and fiancé" I say
"what do you mean?" the girl asks
"oh well itachi and I are engaged." I say shrugging
"but your not dating" she says rudely
"we're engaged" itachi says
she doesn't say anything only storms off with her hips swinging in anger
"who was that?" I ask
"someone from my clan" he says sighing
"meet up for dango at our dock?" I ask
"sure, at 12" he says
I nod and say bye continuing my way to the hokage
I knock and enter
"ah Rin" the hokage says
"you called for me?" I ask
"yes I have an important mission for you..." he says in all seriousness
"what is it?" I ask losing my cheerfulness
"you and your old team 7 will be going on this mission... all the details are on the scroll... and Ox will not be going, instead Minato will be going." The Hokage told me
"hai Hokage" I Say taking the scroll from him
"you leave tomorrow morning, tell them tonight, I've informed Minato already. And Rin... this is an S-ranked mission, I suggest you say goodbye to your loved ones just incase" he tells me pointedly
I bite my lip and nod leaving his office to go and inform Genko and Haru.
I find the two at Genko's favorite BBQ restaurant
"Hey Rinny" Haru says seeing me
I walk over to them and sit...
I stare at the table and sigh.
I pull the scroll out and place in the middle of us.
they both tense knowing what it means.
"its S-ranked.. we leave tomorrow morning." I say as they both read the scroll.
I haven't read it yet, but I knew it must be a very serious job, both Genko and Haru had stone cold faces.
"meet at gate by 5 am, hokage says to say good bye..." I say taking the scroll and leaving
I walk to the dango shop and by dango for itachi and I.
i open the scroll and read the mission as i approach the dock.
Putting the scroll away i sit down and wait for itachi.
"hey rin" itachi says ruffling my hair and sitting beside me
