Rin's P.O.V.

it had been well over 2 months since I had left the village, itachi and I were on a mission in the sand to gather information on Gaara the one tail vessel.

I would send him letters every now and then but he could never reply because he didn't know where I was, I wasn't sure how he was doing.

I didn't know how anyone else was doing, Did the hokage give Kakashi the letter? will he look after the three.

I wasn't sure but Shikamaru would always at about sunset would put chakra into the necklace, I wanted to run to him but I couldn't

"Konan said we have to stop by the land of waves to kill someone, Gato.. he owes us money" Itachi tells me as we watch the young Red haired boy walk alone.

"you know him right?" itachi asks

"yes I do, I send him letters every week" I tell itachi

"I'd advice you cut off your ties with him, so you wont be hurt" Itachi says not looking at me

"hai anyways I think we know enough, we should head to Gato" I tell him

"go ahead.." itachi says sighing

"thank you" I say softly with a sad smile.

"ill wait at the gate" itachi tells me as he leaves

Gaara enters his house and I quickly climb in through a window.

I walk down the stairs and freeze on the last step when I see Gaara eating alone at the table, it looked like cold left overs

"Gaara" I say

he immediately stands up looks to me

"Rin..." he says

"you shouldn't be eating that cold" I tell him

"I don't know how to cook" he tells me, something I already knew.

sighing I walk to him and give him a soft smile

"come on, I'll teach you a thing or 2" I tell him as I grab the cold bowl of soup.

we walk to the kitchen, and I dump the soup into the sink.

"alright what do you wanna eat?" I ask him looking in the fridge for things

"something salty" he says

"hmmm how about some salted tongue and gizzard" I ask and he makes a disgusted face

"hey you wont know that you don't like it if you don't try it" I tell him

"ok" he says just watching me

"come on, your going to try to cook too" I tell him

he walks over and we begin, I made my own and he made his. he watched me carefully making sure not to mess up.

we soon finish and he frowns at his, it was rather burnt.

"hmmm maybe practice more, you can eat mine. I have to go soon" I tell him

"why... why did you?" he asks me as I serve him

"I cant tell you that... but I want to warn you, I need you to be careful, something might happen to soon, im not sure when but maybe next month, next year Im not sure, but I need you to promise me" I tell him serious

"hai you be safe" he tells me

I walk up to him and give him a hug, he tenses but allows me to hold him.
