Shikamaru's P.O.V.

as soon as Naruto left I opened the letter and began reading, wanting to know what my elder sister had to say.

"dear Shika,

this is unfair to you, I know that I said I would come running whenever you put chakra into the necklace I gave you, but I cant right now... it is to dangerous for me to go anywhere near the village... remember my favorite place to go when I'm sad? only you know

if you go on a mission outside the village I will try to come to you, I miss you so much...

I miss all my friends... and I am so sorry I had to do this to you, I didn't have a choice.

be careful... I love you lots, and don't tell anyone about the message.

you could be tortured or something if they think you know where I am... be sure to burn this or hide it where no one but you can find.

I reread it confused with the way it was written, she wouldn't write like that..

maybe she was in a hurry.

I get up and dust off my pants, tucking the letter safely in my pants before heading to meet with Naruto and Choji

"hey shika" choji says as I sit down, I frown and nod

"sorry.. I didn't mean" he tries to tell me

"it's alright, no worries" I tell him

"mmhhmmm we ordered some food for you too" Naruto tells me as he slurps up her ramen

"thanks" I say simply as the waiter brings my food

"how are paying?" choji asks

"we each pay a third" Naruto suggests

"im fine with that... honestly surprised you know math" choji says jokingly

Naruto gives us that sad grin he uses

"haha well I had a good teacher" he tells us.

we both know who he's talking about.

"yea you did" I agree

we finish up and pay all of us heading our own ways.

I get home and hear my mom crying in the kitchen

sighing I know I should let her be, I head to my sisters room only to find my dad sitting on her bed looking at a picture of her

"hey dad..." I say

"oh hey shikamaru do you need something?" he asks

"moms crying again..." I tell him

he sighs and places the picture down before walking past me to see me mom

I walk to her desk and open the third drawer.

seeing a small folded paper

I open it and it only says '3 4 45 60,theres 152 words in letter.... Kakashi is a baka '

confused I pull out the letter and re read

still not clear on what she means, I think.

I number each word and there are exactly 152 words realizing what she wanted I take numbers 3,4, 45, and 60..

this is my mission.

my eyes widen and I am shocked, what does she mean? why did she write Kakashi? I know he is one of her friends...

ive met him before, they had gone on a team lunch and I had joined, we had to go and wake Kakashi up because he was late

I race out of the house ignoring the calls of my parents

I run to his house on the other side of the village.

'does he know? or is he apart of it?' I think as I run

I get to his house and pound on his door.

"Oui nara?" he asks as he opens his door

"did she tell you?" I ask

"what?" he asks me

"the mission" I demand

his eye widens and he pulls me in

"shhhh... we cant let anyone know" he tells me

"so you do know, what does she mean?" I ask him

he sighs and walks to his couch

"come on..." he tells me

I sit beside him a wait for him to explain

"yes she is on a mission... she hasn't betrayed the village... very few know... I don't know how you found out but theres this group plotting the destruction of the village... of many places and the hokage gave her the mission to go undercover and learn of their plans. she couldn't say no" he tells me

"who knows?" I ask him

"I cant say... but you must not tell a soul... If you do the group she is undercover with could kill her... she is with s class rouges... she is in danger not with just them but anyone that she incounters, there's a bounty on her head, and if you know of her where abouts I suggest you tell no one..." he tells me strictly

I nod agreeing, understanding that if I tell anyone, even my parents... the whole mission would fail and she could die

"thank you for telling me... I should get home" I tell him

he nods and walks me to the door

"no one can know... " he tells me one last time before closing his door

I begin to walk home but remember One-chan had metioned her secret place by the hokage heads.

I get there and look around to see if she left anything for me to find but I see nothing.

I look up and I am in awe, the sky looks perfect, clouds slowly moving along, and the stars starting to show.

'one-chan... I wish you were here' I think

I am still salty...

anyways that letter and little note was written before she left...

she was going to give it to shika but knew that if he found out right away he'd tell someone.

she wasn't even sure he would ever get the letter.

after chunin exams book 2 will be starting... there will be the huge timeskip like the show, and I will start to show more love between Itachi and her, i forget if i wrote about Genko? liking someone ;-;

let me know cuz i don't feel like reading my own book, if i do read it... ill cringe so much.
