Rin's P.O.V.
we had Started to head back to suna sooner then planned due to me being crippled, we were a day late getting back, which the Kazekage understood, he wasn't happy with Gaara.
"well Wolf and I best get back to our village, I need to get my legs checked" I tell the Kage
"very well, again I apologize and I hope you heal" he tells me
"thank you, but there really is no need for the extra pay" I tell him
"I insist" he says
"alright well till next time Kazekage" I say leaving
I get outside and see Temari and Kankuro talking to Genko, Gaara was standing there alone waiting for me
"Hey Gaara, write me whenever" I tell him
he nods and awkwardly hugs me
"Hmmm alright I'll see you next time" I tell him
Genko and I leave for the village in silence.
He's hates that I forgave Gaara, even knowing that he might've ended my ability to walk ever again
"Genko you have to get over it" I tell him as we reach the gates
"I cant... he's Dangerous" he says
"he's a child, he was scared" I tell him
"whatever lets get you too the hospital" genko says
"I can go by myself, you go report" I tell him
he sighs and leaves me.
"ah Rin-san what happened?" the nurse that had taken care of me the last time
"my legs were crushed, I came to get them checked on" I tell her
"your in luck, one of the best healers came to town and is helping out, let me go fetch her" the nurse says leaving to find the person
"take her to a room, I'll be with her in a bit I have to finish up with this patient" a strong voice says
the nurse comes back and wheels me into a room where I wait for about 10 minutes
"I heard your legs were crushed" I woman with a very large chest says
"hai" I say
"let me take a look" she says as she grabs my legs
she starts to treat them and asks me how much pain I feel in places I touch
"how about here" she asks'
I sigh and think of what shes going to tell me
"nothing, its been that way since I got injured" I tell her
she nods and her hands glow green
"try to wiggle you toes for me" she says
5 minutes past and still no luck.
suddenly she stops and touches my leg, I don't feel anything until she grabs it and twists it
"ahhhh kami the hell!" I yell
"hmmm from what I can tell you'll be fine... just lay off walking on too much. maybe a month? I cant tell for sure but you aren't in any danger of losing your ability to walk" she tells me before leaving
I smile with joy wiggle my toes
"alright Rin-san you can go, just come back for regular check ups, once or twice a week" the nurse tells me
I nod and make my way back home.
I walk past a clock store and see its almost time for the kids to get out of school, so I head there instead
I spot Shika and Naruto
"Naruto, Shika" I say loudly
they both turn and see me, rushing over as they both as what happened and if im ok
"haha im fine, just got hurt on a mission. ill be fine in about a month" I tell them
"One-chan?" I hear sasuke say
"hey sasuke" I say smiling
"when did you get back?" he asks
"about 3 hours ago" I tell him
"does mom and dad know?" shika asks
"not yet, unless Genko told them" I reply
"moms going to be troublesome" he says
"just like dad...." I say sighing
"ne One-chan can we go eat?" Naruto asks
"no shes eating with me! baka" sasuke says
"hey hey knock it off, how about all four of us go have BBQ" I say
"Can Choji come?" shika asks
"hai I suppose" I tell him
he goes and gets a chubby boy with swirls on his cheeks
knowing already what clan he's from, I cry for my wallet
"alright lets go, Naruto why don't you push me" I say and we head for the BBQ place.
we order, eat, and talk... after the waiter hands me the bill and I feel my soul leave my body
'its a good thing I took that extra pay from the Kazekage' I think to myself as I pay
"I'll take you each home ok? it's been awhile since ive seen any of you" I say
"Ne one-chan you should rest, you just got back today" Naruto says
"eh im ok Naruto, im well rested" I tell him
after walking everyone home, Shika and I stop to get some dango. something we use to do a lot when I was in the academy
when we get home my mom is already pacing around the door way
"ah Shikamaru, Rin what took you guys so long! Genko stopped by and told, I went to the hospital but they said you had been released already" mom rants at us
"sorry mom, I took Shika and his friends out for food, I missed them" I tell her
"ah alright... well I made a bed in the living room so you don't have to go up and down those stairs" she tells me
"thank you mom" I say smiling
"ah ah, next time stop by and tell me" she tells us
"ok mom" I say and glance at shika
he and I open our mouths "how troublesome" we say together while sighing
"what was that!" she asks annoyed
"nothing" shika squeaks while I chuckle nervously
"that's what I thought, now shika help your sister get to the bathroom, Im sure she needs a wash. I'm going to start dinner" she says
I try to get out of chair to go up the stairs but my legs are to hurt.
"I can drag you" shika says
"ah dear your back early" we hear our mom say
"dad?' shika calls
"what is it?" he says coming over to us, seeing me
"what happened?" he asks
"mission" I tell him
"are you..." he starts
"ill be fine in about in a month, anyways can you get me to bathroom" I ask him
