"I can't believe he proposed to you Alice! That rock is freakin' huge!"
"Oh it's not that big Jess."
"From the picture you just sent, it's huge."
"Well, I have to go now Jess. How about we get coffee soon?"
"Sure thing Alice! Talk to you later, bye!"
"Bye!"
I hang up the phone and I place it next to my night stand. Laying on my bed in my night gown, I was happy as ever. My boyfriend of abput 10 years has proposed to me. We have been dating since my freshman year of high school. He proposed to me last night.
I get ready for bed as I stand in front of my bathroom mirror. I brush my hair as I hum a melodic tune to myself.
I then look at my ring finger.
I can't believe he proposed to me.
I open the mirror above the sink to take out the sleeping pills.
I have insomnia.
I take the pill box out and take two pills out. I pop them in my mouth and swallow them.
I close the mirror and I jump to what I see behind me.
"Baby! It's just me! I'm sorry to scare you."
My heart skipped a beat and I turn around to see the man I was going to marry.
"Jin, baby. Why didn't you call me?" I ask catching my breath.
He comes towards me and wraps his arms around me.
"I wanted to surprise you. I want to spend the night with you."
I push his hair back and kiss his lips.
"Of course you can baby."
He pecks my lips again and he gazed into my eyes.
"I love you, I'm sorry to scare you."
I chuckle at his words and gently brushed his lips with my thumb.
