(Before the story begins i would like to thank Scarlet_Killer_wolf for the idea to use ben, and another thanks to gamergirlforlife14 for the idea to use puppeteer but i can only use one so I'll announce who I'm using at the end of the story and all credit goes to Beth Martens for the amazing picture of a rebellious mermaid. Now on with the story)

Its another boarding day in Atlantis me and my 4 sister's are practicing singing cause that's apparently what princesses are supposed to do, what is this a fairy tale or something.

I don't what to be stuck doing this kind of stuff i want to go out and explore, have adventures, and live a more exciting life i might be a mermaid princess, but i just don't like all the stuff my father makes me do.

I want someone to just take me away from all this but as i stated before this ain't no fairy tale where "Prince charming" will come and sweep you off your feet.

Anyway we are all sitting in the main room and practicing, all my sister's are very off key "okay girls that enough" my father said holding his hands up signaling for them to freeze.

"Girls you are all off key so much, now y/n since you are the only one that was perfect can you show them how it goes?" I really didn't want to i hate singing and i didn't want to.

"Fine" i said and start singing the song "clarity" look up the song on YouTube its so good

I stopped singing and open my eyes, my father clapped and so did my sisters "that was lovely my little seashell, okay girls now lets take it from the top" and with that we started singing again this time it sounded better.

After a few minutes of practicing we were excused, i decided to go exploring as i always do, my father allows me to go out and explore but he has rules
1. I must be back before the rip currents come in.
2. I have to always wear my lapis gem necklace.
3. Stay away from sunken pirate ships for they have sharks
4. If i get lost call the dolphins to help.
5. Don't go down to the deep ocean level
And the biggest rule of all
6. Stay AWAY from the surface of the sea

I have broken every single rule so far except the last one, and you know what i think that needs to change today I'm going to do it i am going Above the ocean.
