today was presentation day. it was also the night before homecoming. the school had their annual football game tonight since it was homecoming week and josh was still deciding if he wanted to go or not.

him and tyler were finishing up the last details on their project before they had to present, when homecoming king and queen ballads were passed around. josh rolled his eyes. he had no clue why everyone took these things so seriously, it was just plastic.

josh grabbed a sheet and looked at the candidates.

king nominees

-brendon urie
-chris salih

queen nominees
-jenna black
-sarah orezechowski
-ashley frangipane

of course tyler was nominated, why wouldn't he be. to refrain for getting even more pissed off he crumbled the ballad up and threw it on the floor. tyler looked up from their project confused.

"not a voter?" he joked and josh gave him a dirty look. tyler sobered up and looked down at their project.

"the whole idea is stupid. voting for people to win a goddamn piece of platic is ridiculous like we aren't going to give a damn about these people in 10 years" josh snapped at tyler.

"because josh everything about this school is about fitting in, you're either are popular or you're a nobody. labels matter, now i don't know why you are always pissed at me and the fucking world but i am tired of it" tyler raised his voice which brought on attention from the class. josh looked at tyler with pure hatred.

"you really want to push it there tyler? okay. for these past 3 years i have hated you and everything you do. you think you are so much better than every single one of us and it's fucking bullshit. you're bullshit tyler. and don't get me started on you and your fucking doll jenna, you guys are a joke, a comple-" joshua spat at tyler before he was cut off by tyler pushing him against the wall. josh pushed him back and it was about to get even uglier before darren and mr. brock pulled them apart.

"guys stop this is inappropriate" mr. brock told the two boys sternly. tyler backed away and mumbled a 'whatever'. josh heard tyler and was about to go at it again but darren held him back.

"let's just present this stupid project so i don't have to talk to you again" josh said as pointed his finger at tyler.

yeah today was a bad day.

later that night josh was sitting on the couch next to abbie, his dad, and his mom, eating pizza in his pajamas, feeding jim pepperonis. yeah he was pathetic, at home on a friday night, even his 12 year old brother had plans but he didn't care. he knew tyler would be at the game and he honestly didn't want to see him right now.

"okay i'm heading out, are you sure you dont want to go josh?" ashley asked him. he shook his head and she sighed but walked out the door anyway.

"joshie?" his little sister whispered to him. he hummed in response. "why you cry at night?" josh froze and turned his head towards her. "w-what are you talking about" looking over at his parents to make sure they weren't listening.

"i go to mommy and daddies room when i scared and i hear you, why you sad?" the two year old asked her older brother. josh found himself having tears in his eyes but he quickly wiped him away.

"nothing abbie, it's nothing"

today was homecoming day, and all the girls were out getting their hair and nails done. josh and darren were at darrens house playing video games before they had to put their tux's on.

"was flipping out on tyler yesterday really necessary?" darren spoke up while playing call of duty.

"oh so now you're on his side? wow" josh said as he turned his controller off. darren sighed and rubbed his temples. "josh don't start that with me. im not on sides, i just think you were being petty and unreasonable" josh rolled his eyes.

"i dont care, he's an asshole, c'mon let's go get dressed"

tyler put on his tie and looked in the mirror and sighed. he kept replaying him and josh's fight over in his head and josh was right. he wasn't the best person, but he couldn't help it. he had to hide such a huge secret that it made him take it out on the world. he wish he could be free.

"tyler! jenna's here!" his moms voice drawn out and he was snapped out of his thoughts. he walked downstairs to see his brother zack and his girlfriend tatum taking pictures and he saw jenna. he faked a smile and kissed her cheek. he pulled out the corsage and attached it to her wrist. she looked up at him and smiled.
"i love you" she said as she kissed his lips.

"okay get in a group photo, you guys look so cute!" tyler's mom gushed. many photos later they all got into the limo and headed to the school.

tyler and jenna won homecoming king and queen, no shocker there. they were on the dance floor sharing the first dance. all the couples eyes were on them. well all but one. tyler couldnt help but eye hayley and josh laughing and dancing. he couldn't help but feel jealous when josh twirled her. he couldn't help but look at josh as he was dancing with someone else.
