Marinette was sauntering on the streets of Paris, thinking about how her cheating dumbass fiancé, who made out with someone right in front of her. She was too busy in thought to not notice she bumped into someone's guitar and landed on the ground.
They turned around to see who it was that they bumped into. "Look I'm sorry for bumping into you but you need to be-- Marinette!?"
The girl groaned and rubbed her head. She looked up as she heard the sound of her name being called. A hand was extended to help her up, she accepted it, being drawn with crystal blue eyes. "Thanks Luka." Marinette smiled awkwardly, dusting off some dirt off of her light blue shorts and her red top. From sorting her hair so it was still in its braid to tying her shoelaces of her sneakers with red linings.
"I guess fate told us to meet again, huh?" Luka smirked.
Marinette stared at the guy, her eyes verting to the other sides.
The blueberry haired boy chuckled and draped his arm over the petite girl's shoulder. "Just kidding."
"Yeah umm haha." Marinette tried to act along. "Err-- I'm going to go now." She pulled away from the musician's embrace and was about to take her leave.
"Because I bumped into you, I should make it up. How does lunch sound??"
"I wish I could but--"
"My treat." Luka smiled.
"I was at fault too." Marinette sighed, she could see through the boys' eyes how much he wanted to have lunch with her. "Buuuutt, if you really insist then I guess." The bluenette shrugged.
"Great!"
Luka lead Marinette to his crib. "Home sweet home!" He collapsed onto the nearest couch. "Make yourself welcome!"
Marinette looked around awkwardly until she saw a girl with scarlet red eyes. She looked awfully familiar. A little too familiar. She was currently applying some dark red lipstick. Her makeup theme had a smokey effect, dark red wine eyeshadow and eyeliner was put on. She looked like a goddess in her own gothic way. Actually talking about that, her eyes fixed upon Marinette who was staring at her.
"Hey Marinette." She looked at her.
"Ummm.. hi?" Marinette replied her eyebrows furrowed, not knowing who the person was, prior to she noticed the violet tips blending in with the black. "Juleka?" The bluenette's eyes widened in surprise, a happy one that is.
Juleka extended her hand for a handshake, smiling, whereas Marinette had other plans. She walked up to her and widened her arms, catching her friend into a bear hug. "It's been so long since we last met, how are you?" The bluenette smiled as she pulled away.
"I've been good. I got a job with Rose; she's being a hair-stylist and I'm a makeup artist." Juleka responded.
"No wonder your face is caked up with makeup." Marinette muttered but loud enough for her friend to hear.
They both gasped in shock.
"I- I mean ummm in a good way of course. A-anyways, speaking of Rose.. how is she?" The bluenette tried to cover up her mistake.
"She's fine too. Me and her have got our first apprenticeship today, in about..." Juleka checked her watch. "An hour."
"Great! I invited Marinette over for lunch." Luka interrupted as he was tuning his guitar. He walked over to the 2 girls. "So?" He rubbed his hands together. "Where we thinking?"
"How about the new coffee shop that just recently opened?" Marinette suggested.
"As long as there's food there. I'm famished. Juleka had been starving me since morning."
