Chapter 13: Where Is Jaque

Lily's P.O.V

" We may know what the nightmares could mean!"

I just sat there shocked, we have been having these nightmares a lot lately. Each giving something different but ending the same way, Jaque dying. We stared at Grandfather Waters, we were speechless. We didn't speak until Jaque did.

"What do you think the nightmare signify Grandfather Waters?" Jaque asked, I could sense fear in her voice.

Grandfather Waters gave a sad sigh. "We believe you are seeing glimpses of the future!"

We all gasped and looked at Jaque, she had fear written all over her face and eyes. My breath hitched at my best friend, I thought to myself. If our nightmares are glimpses of the future then could that mean- no, no, don't think like that Lily.

"Then why were we wearing armour in the nightmare?" Fane asked. This time, Grandfather White spoke.

"What did this armour look like?" We each explained our armour. Turns out we had the exact same outfits except different colours. My colour is green, Sage is blue, Fane is white, and Jaque is orange. Grandfather White told us what armour we were wearing.

"You were wearing the element warrior armour. The armour you wear for battle, we have kept that from you. You four are the element warriors, the only ones who can stop Stephen and his madness. There are three stages to become th element warrior. First, your weapon chooses you, second, training, and third, being bound. Being bound is when you are bound together, your souls as one. Whenever someone of your group is in trouble, you can hear them. Unfortunately, there's a catch with stopping Stephen also, he wants the four of you dead, for your elements. He will stop at nothing to get them. He has started his plan by corrupting your dreams, showing you glimpses of what may happen in the future." Grandfather White explained.

Jaque's P.O.V

Grandfather White just finished explaining to us what the nightmares signify and what we are. We warriors, the Element Warriors, the only people who can stop Stephen Dark. I am breathing hard, panicking, I'm starting to sweat. If we are seeing glimpses of the future, could that mean I will die in battle.

I look over at Fane, he could see the fear written on my face. He realized what could happen. I am about to break down in tears, I'm scared.

"Please excuse me!" I said. I ran out of the room and straight to Lily and my room. I collapsed on to my bed, tears streaming down my face. I just hope the future may change.

Fane's P.O.V

Jaque just ran out of the room. I was about to run after her when Grandmother Timberwood asked me a question referring to Jaque.

"What happened to Jaque in the nightmares?"

"Well, all the nightmares ended the same way, no matter how much they changed. It ended with Jaque perishing in my arms!" I answered with a heavy heart. Grandmother Timberwood looked shocked and saddened.

"Just as we feared, he is going for the strongest first! You three must protect her, watch her carefully! The nightmares as taken most of its toll on her. Stephen is planning to break her slowly, killing her slowly!" Grandmother Timberwood explained with urgency. We nodded and headed for Lily's room. We figured Jaque ran to their room, we also learned that these rooms are temporary. We will move into our own rooms at the end of our training.

We open the door to their room and see Jaque no where to be found. We started to get worried. We looked all around the room, nothing. She didn't even leave a note, now I am starting to panick, I felt wind picking up in the room. I calmed myself down, so my element will be at bay. I looked to the others, they were trying to calm themselves also. Only one question escaped my mouth:

"Where is Jaque?"

So they found out they are the element warriors, that their nightmares could be glimpses of the future, and where did Jaque go? Stay tuned for the next chapter!
