Chapter 20: To Keep My Friends And Family Safe

Sage's P.O.V

Luke is now tracking the girls, for a good reason. One, we are playing hide and seek. Two, we are planning to prank them back. Ok, that's two reasons. Ever since Lily, Jaque, Fane, and I have became bound. We have grown closer, we can feel each other's feelings and know if any of us are in pain. Luke is leading us to the cave where we found Jaque, they must be in there.

The plan is that Luke goes in, chases the girls out, then we pour two buckets of water on them. Fane and I are hiding on the sides of the entrance. We here screams of laughter coming from Brooke, Jaque, and Lily. Then we hear rushing footsteps. The three girls reach the entrance, then get soaked with water. Luke, Fane, and I laugh our hearts out.

I look and see Jaque steaming, I mean literally steaming. The water is vaporizing off her, making her dry. Her orange eyes change to red.

"RUN!!" I yell. I look to Lily and see her eyes a deep vine green, and Brooke disappeared. We made a mad dash back to the Sanctuary. I felt my butt starting to get hot, I look. MY BUTTS ON FIRE!!!! Not again, Fane's butt is on fire too, same with Luke. Geez!! When will we not forget that Jaque controls fire.

Lily's P.O.V

Jaque set the boys butts on fire, classic!! We walk into the element warrior quarters and see all three guys wearing fresh jeans and mourning their old pants. Luke, Fane, and Sage are staring at the pile in the corner, with pouts on their faces. I studied sage's face, he looks so cute with his pout. I walked up to him and gently kissed his lips.

"Your pants paid the price for dumping water on us."

"Yeah but I loved those pants."

"You love every single pair of pants you own." I said smartly. "Oh pants, I'll miss you so much. I will never cheat in u with another pair. I will mourn about everyday, hang your picture on my wall. Remember the good times we had with each other."I said dramatically, imitating Sage. The others laughed as the blonde haired boy just scowled. I felt his annoyance grow through the bond, I can see Jaque and Fane felt it too, because we stopped laughing. Luke and Brooke just looked at us confused. Next thing I know, Sage is storming towards his room. He opens the door and slams it shut, I was a little tacked aback. He usually loves our sarcasm, what happened.

I look at Jaque and Fane and they just shrug their shoulders. I guess he is a little annoyed, I'll give him time to cool down.

Jaque's P.O.V

We all decide to take a nap before dinner. I lay down in my bed and drift in darkness.

I'm in a dark hallway, torches dimly lighting it. I look around and I notice I am in front of a what looked like a cell. I peered close inside and I gasp. Hot tears started to brim my eyes, there at the end of the cell is my dad. Chained, bloodied, and bruised. His eyes are closed and I canted tell if he is breathing. I walk down and notice three more cells, my crying turns to sobs. Mrs. White, Mr. Green, and Mrs. Waters are in the other cells, looking like my dad. I couldn't bear to see this any longer, so I ran, I ran and I didn't know where is was going.

I found a door that led to a staircase going up, I ran up the stairs. My tears have slowed, I reached the end of the stairs and another wooden door is there. I go through and end up in a throne like room. I look to the floor and my tears increase rapidly. I put my hand over my mouth to silent my scream. On the floor laying lifelessly are my best friends. Their bodies at awkward angles, blood all over. Sage, Lily, and Fane are dead, laying there, dead.

I'll never hear Lily's mocking tone again, nor Sage's sarcastic comments. I'll never feel Fane's tender touch and caring kisses anymore. I fell to my knees crying, this can't be real.

"Don't like what you see Jaque!" A voice called. I stood up and turned around to see the person I hated, Stephen Dark.

"What did you do to them?" I yelled.

"Nothing, this is all and illusion."

"You are corrupting my dreams!"

"You could say that. I'm just showing you what will happen if you don't do what I request."

"What is your request?" My tears are falling silently down my cheeks now.

"I want you to come to the Hunters Clearing Meadow and meet me there. You will come with me and be my prisoner."

"What if I don't follow this request?"

"Well, then this will happen. Your friends and family dead!" He said with a smirk.

"Fine, I will go. I'll meet you there in two days. To keep my family and friends safe!"

With that, he smirked and then I saw nothing.
