"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah."

"I hate this room."

Klaus and Diego were in the attic. The latter had a blue rope in his hands and was circling the former, wrapping him in the rope.

Klaus wanted to see Dave and get some closure but the only way he could do that would be to get sober. He didn't want Sophie, or Robin for that matter, to see him like this, even though the older woman had insisted she help. Klaus told her that the only time he wanted her to tie him up would be in a very different context, which left Sophie blushing and Robin cringing at her father's remark.

Sophie was currently sat at the bottom of the stairs to the attic, she knew Klaus didn't want her help but she felt like she needed to be close. After all, she did have a way of making him forget about the drugs.

Robin was downstairs with Pogo. The chimp had insisted showing Robin the security tapes from when her mother, father, aunts and uncles were smaller. Robin's favourite was the footage of a night they all got really hyper when her grandfather had left the house.

"Oh, it got me high enough," Klaus remarked, "I picked it clean of anything of value after Daddy kicked the bucket. That's it! Tighter and higher!" The man really wanted to do this but first he needed to remove all of his options.

"If I see a boner, I'm out."

Klaus chuckled.

"End of the world and you wanna get sober all of a sudden. Don't get me wrong man, good by you but I would've thought you'd want to pop every pill on the planet," Diego commented as he circled his brother.

"Oh, the thought did cross my mind, believe me, but there's something I need to do and the whole pesky thing doesn't seem to work unless I'm sober, and I'm a Dad now, I have to set and example for my daughter," Klaus explained.

"Well from what I've seen, you're doing a great job already. Robin is like a daughter to me, if anything happened to her I don't know what I'd do with myself," Diego sighed.

"Me neither," the addict agreed with his brother. "Thank you, by the way."

Diego was confused, "For what?"

"Being there for them, when I wasn't," Klaus looked his brother in the eye and offered him a grateful smile.

"It's not a problem, we're family, we look out for our own," Diego tried to backhand the compliment but hearing those words from Klaus filled him with an immense light. A moment of silence passed as Diego bent down to tie the end of the rope to Klaus' chair.

"Are you wanting to conjure the one you lost? In Vietnam?"

From behind the door, Sophie was crying. She had overheard the heartfelt moment between Klaus and Diego and it had really struck a chord in her. The woman couldn't tell if she was crying happy tears or sad tears. The world was supposedly going to end in three days and Sophie was terrified, but at the same time, she had everything she ever wanted in her life. The Hotel was thriving, her family were together, her father was no longer a threat to the safety of her daughter. Speaking of, Sophie's wish of having Robin and Klaus meet had come true and had gone a lot better than she ever thought it would. Her family was whole, and if they were going to die, at least they were together.
