"I'm sorry, babe. I won't be able to go home tonight." I pouted as I heard Trei on the phone. Pangalawang gabi na niyang hindi makakauwi ngayon. "Promise babawi ako next time."

"Okay lang ano ka ba. Naiintindihan ko naman." I heard him sigh. Then I heard him being called by a nurse in the background. "Trei, sige na tinatawag ka na."

"Alright. I'm going now. I love you Judea." Napangiti ako. I'll never get tired of hearing him say those words.

"I love you too."

"Maam Jude, ilagay ko na po ba yung mga plato sa lamesa?" Umiling ako kay manang.

"Wag na po. Hindi po makakauwi ngayon si Trei." She gave me a sad look and I just gave her a small smile. I bit my nails as I stare at the food. Sayang naman ang mga niluto ko, siguro hindi pa din naman kumakain si Trei. "Manang, pwede po ba na ilagay natin sa container? Dadalahan ko nalang po si Trei para may makain siya doon. Baka hindi pa din po siya kumakain."

Nagpahatid ako kay Manong Cardo papunta ng hospital. I'm even excited to see Trei in his white coat again. After the incident at the cafe, he told me to take at least three days off to calm the hype about us at the hospital. Turns out, kumalat yung issue tungkol sa naming dalawa.

"Good evening, Maam." The guard greeted me when I entered the hospital. Nakakapanibago, parang ang gagalang nilang lahat sa akin. Pati mga nurse bumabati. Nabalitaan siguro nila na may natanggal sa trabaho dahil hindi nagustohan ni Trei ang trato sakin.

Nakita ko mula sa malaking bintana na may isang kurtina lang mula sa hospital bed ang nakasara sa loob ng emergency room at yung ibang nurse lang na nakaupo at nagkukwentohan ang nandoon. I popped my head they all turned to look at me.

"Hi, nandiyan ba si Trei." They looked at each other.

"Wala siya dito." Halos sabay kaming napalingon nang makarinig ng magsalita. I saw Bianca removing her gloves as she went out of the curtain. "He went out, about thirty minutes ago."

"Talaga ba?"

"Do I look like I'm lying?" Nakataas ang isang kilay na sabi niya. I was a bit taken aback by what she said. "Call him if you want. But he's not here."

"Sige. Salamat." I smiled before I went outside. Nang makalabas nakita ko nanaman yung bitbit kong mga pagkain kaya bumalik ako sa loob.

"Kumain na ba kayo?" They shook their heads. It's almost eight in the evening and they still haven't eaten yet. I gave the person who is closest to me the thermal bag. "There's food inside that bag. Kain na kayo."

Mukha namang natuwa sila dahil sa sinabi ko at agad silang ngumiti at nagpasalamat. I gave them a warm smile before I went out of the emergency room. I took my phone out from my pocket. Tatawagan ko na sana ang number ni Trei nang bigla akong makarinig ng tawanan. I won't be so intrigued if one of the voices wasn't so familiar.

"You know why he hasn't proposed to me kahit ilang taon na kami?" I looked at Bianca behind me, holding her phone. He nodded her head at their direction. "It's because of that bitch."

She said referring to the woman beside Trei. They were happily having a conversation while holding a cup of coffee in their hands. The girl is wearing a pencil cut skirt above her knees and a yellow korean long sleeves blouse. Her wavy hair was over her shoulder.
