Author's Notes: (picture from the gamepedia Zelda wiki) Almost crazy to think that only two months ago was when I started writing this. Not only have I met a lot of cool people but it has gotten a larger following than I ever could've even hoped for. I do hope that you know that I appreciate every single person who takes the time to read my story. It's that notion that drives me more than anything else in the world. So please, enjoy your time and I will try to make it worth your while.

I know that early on that it was well established how the plot was going to play out, a "collect the things" type adventure. I think that you'll find where I take the story next, quite surprising. Alright, alright, no more nudges. Let's get on with the show, shall we?

Song Notes: Look it's a (mostly) cheerful reunion, y'all get a cheerful song. Don't worry though, I'll have cryptic choices for later chapters to those who pay attention to them.

They sped rapidly down the dirt road, the sound of wind and the thrum of the engine in their ears. Link couldn't help but feel anxious when thinking about the reunion of the champions. Not that anything would go wrong; he was sure it was going to be a wondrous event. It simply came down to, well, the recent development between Revali and him. He had no idea how the others would react at not only his new relationship status but also his sexuality. Link quickly found out that over the hundred years that he slept that some of the "old" traditional views had dissipated overtime. When he was growing up and first discovered that he was Bisexual, the sexuality was viewed as an oddity. Not that it was discriminated against in any stretch of the imagination; but it was something that was admittedly frowned upon. Of course, that didn't stop most members of the royal court from having "special" friends or concubines. Still, at the time there was a public perception that sexual diversity was not something that was to be encouraged. Despite this, his father had embraced him with open arms. He always thought this is what allowed him to fully come into realizing his identity, he always thanked his father for that.

Before he could delve farther into the past, he returned to his earlier thought. After a hundred years he had found out, quite surprisingly, that the sentiment was no where near where it had once been. Not only were people quite open about their sexuality but most people also seemed to be pretty accepting of the diversity. It first occurred to him a short time after meeting with Impa in Kakariko Village, for the first time. He had left her home and noticed a pair of women eating at a table. There was a small family owned eatery nearby and he had eaten there a few times when he was still, for lack of a better word, broke. After sitting down and ordering a bowl of carrot stew; he couldn't help but overhear the two women talking.

First noticing their appearance, they were both dressed in usual Sheikah attire and resembled the princess's previous designated guards. He didn't try to eavesdrop out of respect and only happened to caught a few words here and there. Before completely zoning out, a bowl was placed in front of him. He waved to the waiter before beginning to eat his soup. An earthy taste with a satisfying crunch of carrots. The broth was dark and filling, it was a perfect one person meal. As he ate he saw the two women, one blond and the other a brunette, stand up from their seats. They stacked their plates, along with their silverware, and stepped away from the table. After a word or two the blond had leaned forward and kissed the other girl before they left hand in hand. Naturally, it made him drop his spoon and immediately dash back to Impa's place. She filled him in, with Paya's help, over the shift in society. He was truly awestruck.

Things are so different now, I hope it stays that way, Link let himself drift away and put himself on autopilot. A large raindrop hit his helmet and his eyes focused on the wet spot trailing down the glass. Looking up at the sky, the clouds had become a pepper gray. It seemed that summer was finally in full swing, hot and humid. The land had been experiencing a lull where it didn't know whether or not it wanted to transition from spring to summer. Lately, it had finally gotten much hotter and the grass was finally turning a deep green. It seemed like nature had finally decided to move on.
