They sat down as Omar served their food
They were served fresh deer from what Gabe and Louis collected
"Like everyday it smells awesome! "
"I hope so. I caught it after all." Gabe said to her
"YOU two caught it! "
"Yeah. With the help of Louis of course." Gabe said giving Louis credit too.
"It had a high price... Chairles broke... " Louis said sadly
"You got a new one so I don't wanna hear you complaining." Gabe joked
"But still, it's not the same... "
"You called it an improvement." Gabe argues
"Did I? "
"Yes you did. So don't give me that bullshit." Gabe said beginning to eat his deer
"I guess I'mma modify it later" He chuckled
"Sounds good to me." Gabe said eating his deer
They ate their dinner as Louis asked something. "Hey Clem, I've heard you guys talk about going into the city tomorrow. Vi will give you a list of things we need. So it would be nice if you could search for them. "
Gabe listened as he ate his food
Louis then handed Clementine the list"These things aren't super important but we could need them somehow"
"What's on the list, Clem?" Gabe asked
"Regular stuff like food and water... And a new frying pan, some clothes... Why do you guys need clothes? Yours fit perfectly! "
"You never really know when you can tear something." Violet said
"You're right, also parts for a fishing rod and tires for defense"
"I'm pretty sure we can get those things." Gabe said smiling
"Yeah these things are easy to get but I think we need all your backpacks for this. "
"Yes. The three of us will take two backpacks each." Gabe said
"We'll try to leave early in the morning so we're back in the evening" She said
"Sounds like a plan, you sexy thing." Gabe said all flirty to Clem and AJ rolled his eyes
"Well if I'm sexy then you're bombastic! " She flirted back
"Oh come on guys! You can't stop for a second! " Louis said
"No, we can't. I just love her too much." Gabe said kissing her cheek
"Then please just stop for a second when you're eating" He chuckled
"Ugh. Fine." Gabe said as he went back to his meal
"Thanks. I have no problem against you two flirting all the time, but it'll get annoying after a while, do you guys understand" He said in a serious voice
"Well we can't promise it but we'll try" She smiled
"Agreed. We will try to limit it but we make no promises." Gabe said holding her hand
Gabe did took a piece of his meat and try to feed it to Clem like in the movies
"Thanks, appreciate it. " He said before looking at them. "Oh come on, again? " He laughed
"I promise that's the last time.... today." Gabe said laughing
Louis finished his meal and stood up. "It's getting late, good night guys" He said before leaving
"Night." Gabe said as Louis went to bed
"Good night." AJ repeated
"You wanna go to sleep too, guys?" Clem asked
"What about our little adventure?" Gabe whispered in clementines ear
"Of course we're gonna do it... " She whispered back smiling.
"Oh OK." Gabe said "Yeah. I'm pretty tired. What about you kiddo?" Gabe asked
"Yeah. Me too." AJ answered rubbing his eyesThey all stood up and went to their dorm
They walked in as they both began to tuck in AJ"Good night, kiddo! "
Clem said kissing his forehead
Gabe kisses his head too.
"Clem wait!" AJ exclaimed
"What's up, goofball? "
"Could you tell me a bedtime story?" AJ asked
"Uhm... I don't really know one. My parents never told me one. Gabe? You've had a big family, they probably told you a bedtime story every day. "
"Not really." Gabe said
"Tell me one of your stories, Clem." AJ said
"Alright which one do you wanna hear?" Clem asked
"I don't know. Maybe the one where I was born or the one where you met Gabe or maybe one before the apocalypse." AJ said
"Okay how about the one with Gabe? I've crashed his uncles car. It broke so he took me to his family... Gabe you wanna continue? "
"Sure. Me, my stepmom, and my sister were all trapped in a junkyard surrounded by muertos. If I'm being honest, I thought it was the end of the road for me and my family. But then my uncle came back with Clementine and they saved us. Although I met Clementine for the first time, I knew that I was head over heels in love with her. I have never felt as much love as I did when I saw her for the first time." Gabe said to AJ
"Well to be honest, after the first time I saw him trapped in that truck, I thought of how he could survive that long. " She chuckled.
"After a while it all changed. We moved to the Richmond because his step mom got shot. That was when I started to like him... "
"We would always flirt with each other. Always be around each other. Although neither of us knew we had feelings for the other."
"I wasn't sure about my feelings at first, because I didn't know what this feeling was but after his dad tried to kidnap him, I knew it. "
"But I knew what my feelings were right away. Because even that her beauty, body and her badassness drove me crazy. All of those things drive me even more crazy for her now."
"And his dorkyness drove crazy too" She laughed. "Well after we cleaned up Richmond, I went to search for you, AJ. After I rescued you a woman threatened me and my knight in shining armor came to save us.... I guess that's the end of this story, because you already know the part after that"
AJ was asleep after the story was done
"Were we actually that boring? " She asked looking down at AJ
"I guess so. But then again I guess that's what a bedtime story is supposed to be."
"You're right, now that he's finally asleep, do you wanna go? "
"Absolutely." Gabe. Said
"Lead the way, my beautiful angel." Gabe said sweetly
"Okay then. " Clem took her flashlight and held Gabes hand as they left the dorm. Clem then lead him to the front gate.
