Clem slept for a couple minutes until she got woken up by Mari. Clem sat up in bed and took her out of the crib and then started rocking her back and forth.
"It's okay, sweetpea. I'm here" Clem said softly
Mari stopped crying but continued to whimper
"I'm here, okay? " Clem asked as she continued rocking her back and forth
As Mari didn't stop whimpering, Clem had the idea to hum the same song, she used to hum to AJ when he was younger
Mari then stopped whimpering and smiled up at her mother
Clem smiled back at her as she was still humming the song
Mari just kept smiling up at her
"See? Everything is okay" Clem said smiling at her
Clem then started tickling Mari's nose while giggling
Mari kept smiling as she wasn't old enough to laugh yet
"You're so cute, sweetpea. " Clem said smiling down at her
Mari made a few baby noises while smiling
Clem just kept smiling at her before she yawned as the baby yawned at the same time
"I guess, we both are pretty tired, aren't we? " Clem asked while giggling a bit.
"I think we both should get some sleep now... " Clem said before she yawned again
The baby just kept smiling at her
"Huh...how do I get her to sleep now? " Clem asked herself while still smiling at her baby
Clem then started rocking her slowly and hummed the song again
Mari began to slowly close her eyes and fall asleep
Clem realized, that she couldn't put Mari back in her crib again, because she would probably wake her up again, so Clem decided to hold her in her arms as she closed her eyes as well before falling asleep
Time Skip: 1 hour later
Gabe walked inside the house and opened the door to their bedroom
Clem was asleep with Mari in her arms, who was sleeping as well as Gabe entered their bedroom
Gabe sat down on the bed as he smiled at Clem
Both Clem and Mari let out cute little snores while they were sleeping
Gabe then carefully began to caress Clem's cheek
Clem had a dream about her family and how their life probably would've looked like, if the walkers weren't there
Gabe then kissed her cheek, hoping it would wake her up but Clem didn't wake up from the kiss
Clem's dream:
Clem got woken up in the morning by her alarm. She quickly hit the button, so it would stop and then opened her eyes
Gabe was still asleep as he cuddled with her
"Honey? " Clem asked in a tired voice
Gabe woke up as he faced her and rubbed his eyes.
"Yeah baby?" Gabe asked in a tired voice as well
"I have to go downstairs.. The kids should be awake soon" Clem said
"OK honey. I should probably get ready for work." Gabe said
"What do you want to eat for breakfast? " Clem asked after she sat up in bed
"Waffles and toast." Gabe Said
