Clem woke up pretty late as it was almost time for lunch
She opened her eyes and noticed Gabe wasn't in their bed
Clem looked around the room and saw that AJ was already awake and sat in his bed
"Good morning." AJ said
"Good morning AJ. Where is Gabe? " Clem asked
"Oh he already left with Aasim and Mitch to the city." AJ answered
"Why didn't he wake me up? " Clem asked
"I guess he didn't want to worry you." AJ answered
"But now I'm even more worried" Clem said
"Don't worry. He's a tough cookie. He'll be OK." AJ said
"Oh no. Did you just say tough cookie? " Clem asked giggling
"Yeah. I heard Violet saying it." AJ said giggling
"Well, she got it from Louis" Clem laughed
"No I understand. It's a funny thing to say." AJ said
"At least you have fun saying it" Clem chuckled. "Are you hungry, goofball? "
"A little." AJ said
"Okay, I'm very hungry... " Clem said standing up. "You wanna follow me? "
"Sure." AJ said standing up to
Clem held out her hand for AJ to take it
AJ took her hand as the two of them walked outside
"Something wonderful happened last night" Clem said smiling
"What's that?" AJ asked
"The baby started kicking for the first time last night" Clem said
"Really?" AJ asked surprised
"Yes, we wanted to show you but you was asleep " Clem said smiling
"Can I see it now?" AJ asked
"I don't know, if it'll start kicking now... But last night it worked after I talked to it, so maybe you could try talking to it" Clem said
"Try it!" AJ exclaimed excitedly
"No I said, you should try it" Clem said giggling
"Uh... ok?" AJ said as he kneeled down and touched her baby bump
"Hi baby. It's your big brother. I can't wait to meet you and play with you." AJ said
After a few seconds the baby kicked softly
"Wow!" AJ said happily
"Last night was the first time it kicked. That's a good sign, I think" Clem said smiling
"Yeah, I think so too." AJ Said smiling up at her
They both sat down at the table to wait for lunch
"Well you guys woke up late?" Ruby said
"Yeah I woke up later but AJ and Gabe were awake earlier" Clem said
"Well obviously. Gabe already left." Ruby said
"He didn't even say goodbye" Clem said sadly
"He did. He kissed your forehead and your baby bump." AJ said
"Speaking of the baby bump... Ruby, the baby started kicking last night for the first time" Clem said happily
"Awww. That's adorable." Ruby said smiling
