Chapter 26 - Birthday Dinner

"What?" Gabe asked concerned at Kate's sudden pause in words

"Did you just mean, this girl there? " Kate asked looking at the girl

Gabe turned around and saw her on the path as well.

"Shit." Gabe said

"How did she follow us? " Clem asked panicking

"I don't know but what should we do?" Gabe asked concerned

"I don't know... Maybe get violet here? " Clem said

"Ok. I'm on it." Gabe Said as he went off to get Violet.

Clem took one assault rifle, that was leaned against a wall. They got them there 2 months ago as the herd left the city

Kate leaned against the wall as well with her pistol

"Drop your guns and your axe! " Clem shouted aiming at the girl

The girl froze in place as she rolled her eyes and then dropped her weapons

"Okay now put your hands behind your head! " Clem shouted

The girl then did what she was told as she put her hands behind her head

"Kate, can you go get her guns? " Clem asked still aiming at the girl

"Sure." Kate said as she ran over and grabbed the girls weapons before returning to her position.

"Okay, who are you and why are you here? " Clem asked

"This used to be my home. And my name... is Minerva." The girl answered

"Where's your group? " Clem asked

"Dead. They were all slaughtered by a rival group." the girl answered.

"You said you once lived here... Tell me one name, of a person who's living in here" Clem said

"Sure. Louis, Ruby, Aasim, Mitch, Willy, And... my old girlfriend, Violet." The girl said as she sounded sad when she mentioned Violet

As she finished her sentence Violet and Gabe showed up at the gate. "What the Hell's going on out here? " Violet asked before she spotted the girl.

As soon as she saw Violet, Minnie froze.

"M-Minnie?! " Violet asked as she froze too

"V....Violet?!" Minnie responded

Violet ran outside and hugged Minnie.

"I thought you died... " Violet said hugging her

"Surprise." Minnie joked as she hugged Violet back

"Where is Sophie? " Violet asked

"She... she didn't make it." Minnie said sadly

"At least you got here... " Violet said

"Yeah,... I guess." Minnie said as she held Violet close

Violet let go of her. "Come on, let's get you inside... " Violet said

"Ok". Minnie said as Violet helped her inside

"Oh my god... Why is she letting her in... " Clem whispered to Gabe

"I'm guessing because she was her old girlfriend." Gabe whispered

"I don't want to be near her... " Clem whispered

"Why are you being so paranoid?" Gabe whispered

"In my nightmare... She killed you with this fire axe... How can I know, who she is, when I didn't see her in my whole life?" Clem asked
