Chapter 53 - Walk

Time skip 3 days later

It was morning as Gabe and Clem were still asleep in their bed

Clem slowly opened her eyes as it was still early in the morning

Gabe remained asleep as she began to wake up

"Honey? " Clem asked with a tired voice

Gabe began to stir in bed but didn't wake up completely

"Gabe... Wake up.. " Clem said still in a tired voice

Gabe's eyes began to flutter open as he woke up and looked at her

"Good morning, sleepyhead" Clem said smiling

"M....morning." Gabe said in a very tired voice while rubbing his eyes

"How did you sleep? " Clem asked looking in is eyes

"Great. How about you?" Gabe asked

"Well, I slept beside my amazing husband so it was pretty amazing" Clem said smiling

Gabe smiled back as he then gave her a quick kiss on the lips

"How about we go outside now and eat something? I'm pretty hungry" Clem asked

"Already? But we just woke up." Gabe Said rubbing his eyes again

"Gabe, I can walk again today. So I want to use my legs as much as possible" Clem said

"Well you can't walk until Ruby clears you." Gabe Said

"Then she has to come here as soon as possible" Clem said

"She's probably still sleeping right now." Gabe Said

"Well, what do you want to do until she wakes up? " Clem asked

"I don't know. Any ideas, mi amor?" Gabe asked

"How about we cuddle until then? " Clem asked smirking

"That'll work." Gabe Said smirking back

Clem smiled as she kissed him on the cheek and put one hand around his waist

Gabe put his arm around her waist as well as their bodies cuddled up to each other

Clem just kept smiling at him as they were cuddling

"You know, it's when we are cuddling when I'm reminded in just how small you are." Gabe Said while still smiling

"I'm not small" Clem giggled

"Well you feel small." Gabe Said giggling as well

"Gabe, I'm almost as tall as you are" Clem giggled

"No you are not. You are 5'7 and I'm 6 feet." Gabe Said still giggling

"Yeah, but that's not small" Clem said still giggling

"It's small to me." Gabe Said

"Okay maybe I am small" Clem chuckled

"Finally. You admit it." Gabe Said giggling

"You're such a dork" Clem said giggling as well

"I know. But you love that." Gabe Said smiling

"Yeah I really do" Clem said smiling back

Gabe then kissed the top of her head

"I can't wait to finally walk again" Clem said

"I know baby. I bet you've been sick of looking at our bedroom all day." Gabe Said
