Chapter 3 - Girls Talk

Clem woke up with Gabe beside her, who was hugging her. She blushed at the sight of him being that close to her.

"G-Gabe? " Clem asked trying to wake him up.

He slowly opened his eyes. "Good Morning, Clem" Gabe yawned.

"Can you please let me go?" Clem asked giggling

"Oh... Yeah, s-sure" Gabe said blushing a bit.

He let her go so Clem could sit up.

"So, how about we go outside and eat something? " Clem asked smiling.

"That sounds great actually! " Gabe said sitting up as well.

They both stood up and noticed AJ wasn't in his bed.

"Do you know where AJ is? " Clem asked walking to the door and turning the door knob

"No idea" Clem answered as they walked outside.

They arrived outside and everybody was already awake. Clem and Gabe spotted AJ sitting with Tenn.

"Oh there he is" Clem said as she started to walk to him

Gabe stopped Clem by holding her arm. "Let him some time alone with Tenn. It's good for him to have a friend in his age"

"O-Okay... " Clem said before sitting down at the table with Louis and Violet

"Good morning guys! " Louis and Violet said

"Hey, guys! " Gabe and Clem greeted back

"It's good that you're here now, because we need your help with something. " Violet said

"Sure! With what can we help you? " Clem asked.

"We need help at the wall and in the greenhouse. " Violet said.

"Well then let's help at the wall" Clem said

"No, we want Gabe, AJ and Louis at the wall and you help me and Ruby in the greenhouse" Violet said looking at Clem

"Okay, we're gonna help you when we're done eating" Gabe said taking another bite

"Okay thanks. We'll wait for you" Louis said smiling before walking away with Violet

They continued their meal and finished it after a while.

"Then let's get to work" Gabe said smiling.

They stood up and went to their work.

"AJ? Can you help me here? " Gabe asked smiling.

AJ nodded and sprinted to him. In the meanwhile Clem walked in the greenhouse.

"Hey, Clem" Ruby said

"Hey, Ruby. With what do you need my help? " Clem asked

"We need your help with the blueberries. Pick the blueberries and cut off the old leaves. Got it? " Ruby said giving Clem a scissor

"Yeah, I've done this once a few years ago... " Clem said as she started to work.

They all worked in silence for a couple minutes.

"How do you guys like it here? " Ruby asked smiling

"We love it here! All of you are so nice to us, even though we're strangers... "Clem said happily

"We're glad to hear that. You three seem like nice persons too. I mean you all are willing to help us. " Violet chuckled

"Well we're helping you where we can" Clem said

They continued to work as Clem looked outside and saw Gabe and AJ talking with each other.

"Hey, how can you explain love, Ruby? I mean what do you feel when you're in love? " Clem asked after she quickly looked away from Gabe

"I don't know... I've never had a boyfriend before, but Vi is literally an expert in love! " Ruby said

"I would not say I'm an expert... I've been in love once" Violet said looking down. "But you want to know, what it feels like to be in love with someone? It feels amazing. You do everything for each other and can't keep your eyes off each other. " Violet said now smiling

"Okay... Does it feel like a million butterflies exploding in your stomach? "

"Yeah, it does... Why are you asking? " Violet asked

"I'm just asking! " Clem said blushing a bit

"Oh my god Clementine is in love with someone! Who is it? Louis? Aasim? Mitch?... Gabe? " Ruby exclaimed smirking

"No! I don't love any of these persons! " Clem said a bit embarrassed.

"Except my lovely dork... " Clem whispered super quietly so nobody could hear it

"What was that? " Ruby asked

"What was what? "

"You just whispered something to yourself" Ruby said

"Nope. I didn't... " Clem said blushing

"Whatever" Ruby said before she walked outside because she was done with her work

"So you like Gabe? " Violet asked smirking like a maniac

"W-What? Did you really just hear it? " Clem asked

"No, I didn't but it's so obvious that you like each other. And thanks for your agreement" Violet giggled

"Oh my god... Please don't tell anybody! Especially not Gabe! " Clem begged

"I won't tell anybody... Under one condition"

"Yes! Just tell me, what is it? "

"You have to tell him. As soon as you see him again. " Violet said smiling

"Do I have to? " Clem sighed

"Yes. Or else nothing will ever happen between you two. "

"But what if, he doesn't feel the same? I could risk our friendship with it... " Clem said

"No, don't think about it. You're a girl, everyone could wish for and I'm sure he loves you as much as you love him. " Violet smiled

"But what if I'm not his type? "

"Clem. You're the girl everyone could ask for. You're badass, nice, beautiful and you care about everybody. "

"I guess you're right... But how do I tell him? You said, you was in love.... How did you tell your boyfriend? " Clem asked

"Well... I didn't actually have a boyfriend before... " Violet said looking down and scratching the back of her head

"But Ruby said you're experienced in love? "

"I am, but I didn't have a boyfriend before... "

"I don't get i- Ohhh you've had a girlfriend... " Clem said a bit surprised

Violet didn't say anything.

"Why didn't you tell me? It's nothing bad about it" Clem said putting one hand on her shoulder

"I know, but everytime I tell it to someone, I remember how my girlfriend died and I just want to cry... " Violet said

"Oh I'm sorry, Vi" Clem said in a caring voice

"No problem... It was a long time ago" Violet said smiling.

"Okay. I promise I will tell Gabe how I feel the next time I see him. " Clem smiled back

They continued to work and eventually finished it after a while.

"Oh and thanks again, Violet" Clem said smiling before she turned around to walk outside.

"No problem. Good luck, Clem" Violet chuckled as she playfully slapped Clems butt.

"Hey" Clem laughed before she left

Clem looked for Gabe and AJ at the wall but they weren't there anymore. Louis was gone as well. Clem sat down at a table to wait for Gabe. She waited for a couple hours but she didn't see him once.
