Chapter 13

Shoto's pov

It had been a few weeks since me and mother went to that meeting/play date, and 'He' wasn't very happy that I made friends. It's been nonstop training at this point, not to mention him being mean to mother. She's been looking at me strangely recently, like something is wrong with me.

I woke up at around 11:25am to the sound of mumbling. I quietly walked down the stairs as the mumbling soon revealed to be my mother in the kitchen on the phone. It looked like she was making tea because of the boiling kettle on the stove. I decided to walk a little closer to her.
"I-I just can't t-taking it anymore. A-And he looks just like h-him."
"Mother?"
She turned her head as she hung up the phone. The look in her eyes, it's scary.
"M-Mother? Are you o-ok?" I lightly tugged on her dress. She turned and picked up the steaming kettle.
"I'm sorry baby." She mumbled.
I was going to ask why when she quickly lached onto my shoulder and poured hot, boiling water of my left eye. I guess 'He' must have heard because the next thing I know I'm in my bed with bandages over my left eye, and a breakfast tray on my shelf next to my bed. As I ate I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs. It ended up being Natsuo and Fuyumi. They said that 'He' sent mother to a mental hospital. I then heard heavy footsteps outside my room only for the door to swing open to reveal 'Him'.
