"Mama I'm home!" Zoya shouted happily.
"What happened beta you look very happy? Won the lottery or something?" She asked jokingly.

"Haan Mama kuch aisa hi samajh lijiye." (Yes Mama you can understand it like that.) She said with a bright smile.

"Acha let me guess, you got the job right?" Her mom asked happily.
"Yes Mama I got the job and I can start at tommorow at 9:00am!" She said almost jumping from happiness.

"Yeh toh bohot achi baat hai beta, Allah tumhe hameesha isi tarha kaamyaab karey Ameen." (That's great news dear, may Allah always let you succeed like this Ameen.)

"Yes Mama." She said with a smile hugging her mom lovingly and she hugged her back with the same love.

"Acha Mama tell me how are you feeling now?" Zoya asked with a serious tone in her voice now.

"I'm feeling better beta, the nurse just left."
"That's good Mama, may you always be healthy and happy Ameen." She said lovingly.

"Ameen beta, acha you go and eat something there's left over biryani in the kitchen eat it and go to sleep, you'll have to wake up early for your work na." The mom said.
"Mama but it's just 18:00pm now, why so early?"

"No problem beta, you need to rest so you can fully concentrate tommorow on your first day.

"Ok Mama, I'll eat something and sleep then, you also go to sleep Mama."
"Yes beta, I'll just go to the washroom and then go to sleep.

"Ok good night Mama."
"Good night beta."

Zoya was heading to the kitchen and heated up the biryani and silently ate it after that she went to her room brushed her teeth, changed her clothes and went in bed to sleep and her heart was bursting with happiness. "I can't wait for tommorow." She said in her thoughts. "Ya Allah sab thik ho kal." (Ya Allah may everything go down well tommorow.) And with she drifted off to a peacefull sleep.

The next day when she woke up she did her same morning routine and then she headed to her mom's room.

"Asalamu-Alaikum Mama." (Peace be upon you Mama.) "Walaikum-A-Salaam beta." (Peace be upon you as well.)

"How are you feeling now Mama?" Zoya asked. "I'm fine beta." She said.
"Mama, I'm going to work now, it's 8:30am now, the bus will arrive at 8:40am and it will be a ride of 10min so I'm leaving now." Zoya said.

"Sure beta, you go ahead, good luck, I know you can do it and do take care of yourself." Her mom lovingly said. "Jee Mama shukriya aur aap bhi apna khiaal rakhiyega, Allah Hafiz." (Yes Mama thank you so much and you take care too, May Allah be your protector/guardian.)

"Thik hai Allah Hafiz beta." (Ok, may Allah be your protector/guardian too dear.)

Then she was heading for the bus-stop and like she said, the bus arrived at 8:40am and she arrived at the office at 9:01am.
The same old lady was at the reception, Zoya greeted her and asked her: "Hi ma'am, it's my first day at work so do you know where I should go?"

The old lady smiled and said: "I think the boss will tell you what you have to do so just go to his office and, he'll tell you. "Thank you ma'am." Zoya said with a kind smile.

Zoya knew the way to his office, so she went to the elevator and kept walking till she reached his office, when she reached the door of his office she knocked on it silently. When she heard a stiff "Come in" she went inside slowly opening the door. She saw her boss looking at the window with his back to her and hands in his pockets. She decided to begin talking.

"Umm..hi sir, the lady on the reception told me to come to you, so you could tell me what I must do of work. So can you please tell me what I must do?" She nervously asked. "You're late." He replied in a stiff tone. "But sir it's 9:04am, so I'm on time right?" She was trying to say but it came out more like a question than an understatement.

"Wrong." He said blankly and with that he turned around now looking at her. He was tall so he looked very intimidating with his hands in his pockets looking at her like that. "I told you to come at 9:00am sharp and you come at my office at 9:04am, that's 4 minutes late." He said.

"But sir, it's still 9:00am just a few minutes more doesn't matter right?" She nervously asked. "It does matter, every second counts never heard of 'time is money'?" It's exactly like that in this case. He said. "But sir..I..I was..."

"Enough!" He shouted, now getting annoyed of her trying to say the same and same again.

She got scared and lighty jumped out of fear because she wasn't expecting him to shout like that. He saw it and he directly tried to compose himself and said: "Look miss Zoya, if you can't follow the rules then you can leave this work right now, and if you want to work here then you need to follow the rules, Am I clear?" He asked. "Y-yes sir." She replied stuttering, still in shock of him shouting like that.

"Good, now you've done a mistake, so there will be a punishment." He said expressionless. "P-punisment? W-what kind of punishment?" She asked a bit scared now. "Normally all workers are allowed to leave at 19:00pm but you will work till 21:00pm." He said blankly. "B-but sir, for just a few minutes you're giving me such a b-big punishment? I need to be home at 19:00pm, it's for my mo.." She was trying to say, but he cut her off quickly.

"Normally after this mistake, I would tell you to leave this job, but since you didn't have any work experience, I'm just giving a tiny punishment, think of it as a warning. In the future if you come at the right time and do your work properly then there'll be no punishments or you leaving this job." He said.

"O-ok sir, I'll stay till 21:00pm." She said. "Good, and concerning your work, you'll be my secretary. He said blankly. She was shocked hearing this. "B-but sir, how can I be your secretary, that's a lot of work and I don't have a-any experience. She said still dumbstruck.

"I think you really want to leave this job." He said. "N-no sir." She said a bit scared. "Then you'll be my secretary without any but's now." He said. "Ok sir" she replied. "Good now next to my cabin, is another cabin that's your workplace, that's where you'll work, I'll send someone to give you some instructions on what do do, first I have to attend a call." He said. "Ok sir." She said.

And with that she walked outside his office going to her's next door, when she got inside her office she thought to herself: "He's so irritating and annoying, over-reacting for just being 4 minutes late." How will I manage this job with a man like him? Ya Allah himmat de. (Oh Lord, give me strength.)
