Izaya had been observing humans long before he could even remember. Taking in that fact, it wouldn't be a surprise that he had immediately noticed the above average tension between the two twenty-year-olds inside the humble household right after they had come back home.

Although he would want to poke a lot of fun out of the unusual dilemma between the two, Izaya was the type of person to rather watch an interesting event in the comfort of his own home with popcorn in hand.

We have to say that it would be somewhat impossible for the last statement to literally happen as the information broker is currently staying at an acquaintance's place, miles away from his own home. It would also be quite unlikely for him to have some popcorn in hand since neither (Y/N) nor Reira would bother to serve him some, especially with the both of them giving each other the silent treatment. Figuratively though, it is highly possible – in fact, he is currently watching an interesting event in comfort with popcorn in hand

One of the best things Izaya gets to enjoy from (Y/N) and Reira's little conflict is that he gets to watch the brunette veterinarian's sour face as the underground doctor was paying more attention towards the raven haired twenty-four-year-old. Not only that, but Izaya gets to have the female's attention all to himself.

It was rather selfish and childish for him to do, but this is Orihara Izaya we're talking about. And we can't say that the male veterinarian and the female doctor was better, deciding to ignore each other over something so trivial.

But let's not forget that the two have known each other for years, it won't take long for them to patch things up. That's the sad truth for Izaya and how he wished that time didn't fly by so fast. He was hoping to savour the moment for at least an eternity.

How ironic, being that (Y/N) thinks otherwise.

As the three of them just finished dinner, Reira's dark brown orbs narrowed down to a glare as his face grew saltier by the minute. In front of him was his childhood friend wiping Izaya's chest with a clean cloth as a bit of soup was spilled on his shirt.

Izaya, on the other hand, sent the younger male a taunting smirk, sticking his tongue out, successfully provoking the veterinarian. (Y/N) heaved out a sigh, not letting the raven head's actions go unnoticed. Not appreciating the thought of insulting her only best friend, (Y/N) tossed the used cloth on Izaya's pale face, letting the material cover his head as she sauntered over the sink, bringing in the dirty dishes.

"You don't have to go all that trouble for him, you know. He's not incapable of doing things on his own, unlike before." Reira mumbled, going by her side as he placed his own dishes on the sink.

"I do what I want." (Y/N) replied, proudly sticking up her tallest finger in front of the tan-skinned male as a rude response. "The same goes for that reunion."

With the topic being brought up from the first time inside the house, Izaya perked up with interest with a tinge of curiosity, immediately concluding that that was the reason form their silent dispute.

"Oh~ So that's what this childish silent clash is all about." Izaya joined in the conversation, perching up his face on his hand, elbow placed on the table. "I'm guessing that (Y/N)-chan doesn't want to come, am I correct?"

It would always come out as rude when a person suddenly bumps in a conversation for no good reason, however, with the account that Izaya was the one rudely joining in, it was not much of a surprise. He did a lot more distasteful things than disrespectfully joining in another's conversation.

"This matter is out of your business, Orihara." Reira spat out, scowling at the raven head for disrupting his first proper conversation with (Y/N) for the past ten hours.
