I watched as she walked down the aisle... My life is over if she says those fateful words I dreaded to this day.

Right, I'm never saying those two words for as long as I live, I thought, weddings are just so overrated

"I do" she said after all of the vows had been exchanged

I looked over to her side of the family and saw Julian and Christian, their faces empty. They were stood emotionless

"You may now kiss the bride" said the preacher and they kissed

Yuck, I thought

---

Noises from downstairs woke me up and I went to investigate.

There were moving people in my house.

"Don't just stand there honey" dad said as he entered the house with boxes "you can help out"

"So I take it Maddie and the boys are moving in?" I asked

"Well, no duh... There are moving boxes here for nothing" he sarcastically said

"Well, I'm not helping then" I said and stuck my tongue at him before walking back to my room and crawling back into bed.

The warmth took over me and so did sleep.

An air horn noise made me almost jump out of my skin awake and then I heard snickering. I turned and saw Julian and Christian, an air horn in hand

"Did you have to do that?" I asked, rubbing my ear

"Well mom told us to wake you up and we did, did we not?" Christian's laughter howled through the house as he and Julian walked out of my room and down the stairs.

Great! I have this to deal with for a whole year until I had to go to college... But a lot could happen in a year.

So now that Maddie and my dad said I do, I'm now saying I don't... I don't want any new stepbrothers, I don't want them to be the Logan twins of all people and I don't want them in my house disturbing the balance of things. I'd managed to avoid them all this year while

I pulled my glasses onto my face and got up, heading for my shower.

I let the hot water run down my body, not caring how hot it was and then I got out.

Finally arriving downstairs, I headed to the kitchen where the sweet aroma of bacon hit my nostrils... Oh how I love bacon! Can I marry bacon? I'd love it forever and it can never leave me until death do us part.

My smile soon turned upside down when all of the bacon had gone.

"Sorry honey, Julian and Christian got to it" dad said

I glared at them "you... You bastards."

"Chill, it's just bacon. Besides-"

"Just bacon?" I interrupted Julian when he spoke "it's never 'just bacon'"

"Well, you took long to get ready" Christian said

I glared at them again and walked to the fridge, trying to find something else to eat seeing as they devoured my precious bacon like wild animals.

I grabbed some cereal and went to turn the TV on. I turned it to my most favourite channel ever CBS... Just my luck CSI was on, which I loved.

As some of the gruesome bits came on, I smiled.

I loved CSI it was just so good

"Yuck, how can you watch that shit and still be eating?" Christian asked as he dropped down on the sofa next to me. Julian said nothing but dropped on the other side of me.

"I have a strong stomach unlike some people" I said, not taking my eyes from the TV

All of a sudden, it was football. Julian had changed the channel to a sport channel.

Great!

"Hey, I was watching that" I glared at him

"Well, there's highlights from last night's game on here so shut up" Julian said sternly

I did as he said as he was pretty intimidating

The thing was about these guys being my stepbrothers... I feared that I would never be able to say no to them
