The days went by fast as Jonah and I began secretly hanging out. He'd be able to sneak us out of our rooms with his strange and unique powers.

"Shoot!" I was directed. I shot the target immediately. Though I did like shooting, I would've rather been with my chipmunk pal. I felt in control around him and I knew from how he talked and acted toward me that that feeling of control was the same for him as well.

"I'm done," I said as I dropped the gun. "I want food; I'm hungry." That was a lie. I wasn't hungry but now was about the time Jonah said he'd get done with his training.

"No," the scientist said as he put his arm in front of the exit. "It's pointless for you to go get food and see your friend since he's being killed today." I looked up at him in shock.

"What do you mean he's being killed today?!" I exclaimed as I grabbed his tie.

"He couldn't turn into birds and he's been a distraction for you which you don't need!" he argued back. "He's a failed experiment!"

I immediately punched him with my mechanical arm. I beat him to the ground as I pressed my hand to his chest. I pressed and pressed until I heard his chest crack. I looked down at him emotionlessly. I grabbed the gun I had dropped and held it close.

Why did killing him feel so familiar? Everything about what I was doing felt familiar. I raced down the halls as I went to find my chipmunk friend. No. They weren't going to kill Jonah. I wasn't going to let them.

"Hey, what are you doing without--" a soldier asked, but he was swiftly interrupted by me gripping him tightly by the neck.

"Where did they take Jonah?" I asked. It was like there was a venom burrowed into my voice and body as I did everything I was ordered to never do.

"HELP! HELP!" he tried his best to call. I then see other soldiers running toward us.

"Tell me or say goodbye to your daughter!" I spoke venomously as I held my gun toward his head, "You wouldn't want her to grow up without her father, would you? Because I know just by lookin at you that your own papa wasn't there for you."

"Th-they took him to the radiation lab! I swear! Just please don't kill me!" he pleaded.

"Fine," I said as I let go of him. I shot him in the leg so he wouldn't be able to chase me. I then shot the three men that were chasing after me through their skulls. I could hear the guy I shot scream as he saw his fellow comrades dead in front of him while he couldn't do anything.

I ran to the radiation lab as I heard alarms blaring and announcements being made of my rebel. I opened the door to reveal a struggling Jonah against several scientists. He saw me and his face lit up.

"Hey, nerds! Don't touch my chipmunk!" I yelled as I shot them all. Jonah looked so happy to see me as I unstrapped him from the chair. "You all right, Chip?" I asked.

"Y-yeah, but how did you even know--" he began.

"That's not important. We're getting out of here now," I said.

"B-but-- This is all we've ever known. I-I've never seen the outside world," he argued. He was right. Hydra was all we've ever known.

"Well, maybe it's time for us to learn some new things," I said. "Come on," I said as I offered him my hand and tilted my hand toward the door. He took my hand and nodded as we ran out the door.

When we ran down a few halls, I was surprised to find bodies that I didn't remember shooting. Was someone trying to help us?

"Pandora? Did you do all this?" Chip asked.
