THIS WORLD CAN HURT YOU
It had been two weeks since I had apologized to Dante and things had been going great so far. I had made up with Riley and Michael, so we were closer than ever. Things had been going great, except for the fact that Beverly and Ashley had stopped talking to me. I had made numerous attempts to text and call them, but nothing worked. They ignored me in school, too. But why? I had to walk to school and I had been late for the past couple of days. "Late again, Allison." The secretary said, and I just rolled my eyes. She wrote down on a slip of paper and handed it to me, while I signed myself in. "Go to health class." She said and I walked out the office. I went to my locker, throwing all my stuff in it as soon as I opened it. I hurriedly walked to class and walked in, during the test. "Allison, do you have a pass for being late?" The teacher asked me. "Yep." Everyones eyes landed on me as I handed the teacher the pass. I slowly walked to my desk next to Dante. "Here's the test." The teacher handed me it and left. After about 30 minutes I finished along with everyone else and we had 10 minutes of free time to talk. "Hey, D." I said. "Heyo, bighead." He teased and I laughed. "So, why were you late al?" He said confused. "I had to walk." I muttered in exhaustion. "What about Beverly and her little car rides?" Dante wondered. "She's been ignoring me and so has Ashley." I said in annoyance. "Oh." Dante said. Michael walked up to us and tapped my shoulder. "Hey, loser." He teased me. "Hey, eyebrows." I teased back and laughed along with Dante. "Wow, offensive much?" Michael said in sarcastic pain. "I'm so sorry, sir." I said mocking Dante and his stunt he pulled with my father. We all burst into laughter and it didn't take long for Riley to shuffle towards us. "What's up, nerds?" Riley joked. "Nerds? I'll have you know that I'm deeply offended by that statement, Riley." I said sarcastically. "Oh I'm so sorry, m'am." He replied. We all laughed, once again. "So, when are we gonna hang out again?" I mentioned. "How about tomorrow? I could bring Julia and Hannah?" Michael suggested. "Sure." I never really talked with Julia and Hannah, but they seemed nice. "My house?" Dante asked us all. We all nodded and talked, until the bell rang to dismiss us.
