Normal P.O.V

It was finally the last day of the games, and Lucy was sad she couldn't be apart of the team that brought them to victory, but hey, she brought them nine points the other day.

She was walking out of the infirmary to watch the lacrimas implanted on the battlefield to cheer on her guild, most importantly Natsu.

If she couldn't fight with them, she at least wanted to back them up from the sidelines.

While she was on her way to FairyTails' balcony, she ran into someone. She was bracing for impact from the floor, but it never came. She opened one eye to see a smiling Sting. "Sorry blondie," He chuckled.

"T-thank you," she couldn't help the blush that was arising to her cheeks. He had helped her get to her feet and he started to walk away when she called out for him.

"Wait!" She yelled, causing the slayer to stop in his tracks. He turned around and gave her one of his infamous smiles.

"Yea, blondie?" He asked, curious as to what she wanted.

"Thank you, for yesterday. But, why did you stop her? I'm a Fairy and you're a Saber, you should have let her come up to me." Lucy said very quietly, playing with her fingers as she trailed off.

"Because blondie, just because we're from different guilds doesn't mean we shouldn't treat you with proper human decency. Plus, a pretty girl like you didn't deserve to face another round of Minerva's wrath, especially for no reason." Sting smiled, Lucy's cheeks dusted pink.

Did he just call her pretty?

The Sting Eucliffe just called her pretty?

"Well blondie, I've gotta go. See you later!" He waved, walking away.

"Good luck!" She shouted full of fondness.

Sting grinned as he walked, even if it was only to be nice, he cherished the words and kept them in the back of his mind.

Unbeknownst to the pair of mages, Sting was barely starting to find his way to Lucy's heart.

She knew it was wrong, she was dedicated to Fairy Tail, and the two guilds never got along. She would be betraying her family if she were to even think of pursing any sort of relationship with the slayer.

What was she kidding? She's not had more than one full conversation with the boy, why is she even thinking about him?

She felt drawn to him.

"What am I thinking?" She sighed, patting her head. "It must be from this head injury, yea, that's it." She chuckled, finally walking back to the balcony.

She knew the boy would be in her life, one way or another.
