Normal P.O.V

Lucy had woken up an hour later, and to say everyone was happy was an understatement.

They were ecstatic.

"Luce! Hey, you saved us!" Natsu cheered, earning a wide smile and a hug from the brilliant blond.

"We all did Natsu, but without you, we'd all be goners." She smiled, hugging the boy tightly.

She felt a whirlwind of emotions, from happy, to relieved to loved.

Being with her guild made her the happiest. No matter what she did, they always supported her. They were her true family, and she wouldn't trade anything in the world for them.

However, when she thought of relief someone else popped into her head.

Her eyes skimmed the people in the room and they failed to see the other blonde.

Lucy wasn't quite sure why, but wished for the egotistical slayer to be there. She had really wanted to thank him.

She felt comforted in his arms, even if she was asleep for most if it. She could still feel the feeling of being safe.

Sting was pushed to the back of her mind as she became very hungry, she wanted to leave as soon as possible to eat.

Her body was also crying in pain, she lusted for a steaming bubble bath to soothe her aching muscles.

She had pulled Natsu away from the others and asked if he wanted to go eat, which was a stupid question, of course Natsu wanted food, when did he not?

Lucy giggled at the wide eyed boy before changing into more comfortable clothing to eat in. Natsu had pulled her down to a bustling diner down the street, for the town being deserted not more than a few hours ago, it was sure busy!

I guess people liked to eat after nearly facing death and total destruction.

They had received a table rather quickly after being recognized as the winners of the games, Lucy was looking over the menu, her eyes scanning for something that caught her eye.

Natsu was drooling at all of the delectable choices clouding the menu. A waiter had walked by and took their drinks, he had also taken their orders because Natsu had finally decided on what to eat.

When the waiter walked away, Natsu had left to go to the bathroom. Lucy was watching the hustle and bustle of the town through a giant window.

She smiled to herself as she watched everyone walk by.

A few hours ago they were fighting dragons, not knowing if they would make it or not.

And now she was eating in a packed restaurant in the same city hours later.

She felt a hand on her shoulder.

She jumped and placed her hand on her heart, turning to the person who pulled her out of her trance.

"Sting! Oh my gosh you scared me!" She breathed, bringing a piece of her golden hair behind her ear.

"Sorry blondie, I saw you and wanted to know how you were feeling." He smiled, Lucy swore her heart skipped a beat.

"Oh, thanks. I'm feeling a lot better, like I could run a marathon." Lucy smiled, a light pink tint making its grand appearance on Stings cheeks.

"Glad to hear it blondie," He said relieved. His heart ached when he saw her in the state she was, she looked so weak and frail.

Something about Lucy made him want to stay.

He wasn't sure was it was, but he surely knew he wanted to find out. She was just different, as cliche as it is.

"Thank you for saving me back there, really. I appreciate it, I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you." Lucy said with a bold blush decorating her flawless cheeks, she looked down at her fingers, a small smile pasted onto her face.

"I did what I had to do blondie, I wanted to make sure you were safe after quite literally saving the world." Sting chuckled, his hand making its way to the back of his neck.

Lucy answered with a grand smile, one that could stop time.

"Hey, Sting!" Natsu said, slapping the white dragon slayer on the back. Sting turned to him and smiled, offering his hand to shake.

"Natsu! Hey," Sting replied, his chuckle sounded.

Natsu looked between the flustered, yet happy Lucy and Sting. His mind starts working to figure out what happened, but he couldn't make a conclusion.

"What happened here?" He asked, Lucy shaking her head while pointing her delicate finger towards Sting.

"He wanted to make sure I was okay," Lucy softly said, earning a suspicious nod from Natsu. Although they had just fought valiantly side by side, Natsu still wasn't fond of Sabertooth, especially Sting.

"Yea, that's all that happened Natsu, no need to worry. Anyways I better get going, bye guys!" Sting waved before sending Lucy one last smile. Lucy gave the boy a wave in return, giving him his sign to leave.

Her smile kept replaying in his busy mind.
