Normal P.O.V

It was the final battle of the Grand Magic Games, Sting against all of the FairyTail members.

They circled him, all of them barely able to stand while Sting didn't have a scratch on him. He smirked watching them, knowing that he could blow them over in one breath.

Throughout the whole event, Lucy kept her eyes trained on Sting.

Every time they would show his battles on the screen, Lucy couldn't help but be amazed. The way he pounced on the other guilds, the skills he possessed. His face showed passion and excitement.

She was secretly cheering him on in the safety of her own mind, of course she really wanted FairyTail to win though.

They had worked way too hard only to get second place.

Sting charged up a magical attack in his fist, ready to launch. When he saw that not one of the members made an advance, he dropped his fist.

He let go of a heavy breath, dropping his head.

He kept muttering words that she could not yet pick up on, but whatever they were, they held so much emotion.

"It's not worth it.." she heard him trailing off. His hands covering his tearful eyes. Suddenly he uttered the words that not one person expected to hear, "I-I surrender." He cried, sinking to the ground.

Cheers erupted through out the arena, people being happy that Fairy Tail was finally number one again.

Millianna suddenly appeared on screen, walking up to the group holding something. Millianna moved the blanket to reveal a sleepy Lector.

Confusion was stricken all over Lucy's bruised face. Sting looked up, a look a disbelief on his red face.

"Sting!" Lector called once he fully woke up, pulling Sting out of his trance.

"Lector!" Sting looked up, not believing what he was seeing. She handed the exceed over, a huge smile on her face.

"S-Sting! I missed you!" Lector choked out between sobs, making a small smile come to Stings face.

"I missed you too buddy." Sting softly spoke into the exceeds ear, encircling his arms tighter around him.

The lacrima's cut off, and Lucy smiled to herself.

Lucy's heart fluttered at the reunion of the slayer and the exceed. She never knew Sting could be so full of emotions, she only knew him as the power hungry, heartless dragon slayer that he is.

They never had more than one conversation, but Lucy wanted to get to know the story behind Sting. He intrigued her.

She wanted to look into his crystal blue eyes and know everything about him. But, Lucy would betray her family if she were to befriend Sting.

Plus, they would never forget what Minerva did a few days prior, tying him to it because he was in the same guild.

She leaned over the railing, looking around the arena seeing the countless faces causing a commotion.

A whole new life was brought to FairyTail, people finally believed in them again.
