New Mission

This is been my favorite story I've ever written, and I'm so so happy that you guys like it.

Normal P.O.V

"Luce, lets go on a mission!" Natsu shoved a piece of paper into Lucy's face, making her snatch it out of his hands.

It was a simple job, defeat a few mages that were destroying a nearby town.

"Fine Natsu, meet me at the train station in an hour. Don't be late!" She pointed a finger at the fire mage before walking home to pack, the estimated time on the job was two days, meaning that Lucy would need to pack a suitcase.

She threw a few pj's and another set of day clothes into her bag, and a few various other things.

Sting hadn't come to visit her yet, though it had only been three days. Just incase he decided to come, Lucy left a bedside note saying she will was out on a mission.

She smiled at the thought of being with him and walked out of her apartment, a small suitcase in tow.

Lucy made it to the train station, and surprisingly Natsu had made it there first. "Someone's eager for this mission." Lucy giggled, Natsu pumping his fists into the air, looking ridiculous.

The train came and Natsu paled, remembering his motion sickness. Lucy boarded the train, dragging Natsu on, as usual.

The ride was short, which was lucky for Natsu. Lucy and Natsu headed straight towards the Mayors mansion, hoping to get more information from him.

"Hi, we're mages from FairyTail here to fulfill the quest." Lucy smiled, holding up the flier to the guards face.

"Guild marks." He sneered. Natsu and Lucy showed him their marks, allowing them to enter the building.

They were led to the Mayor's office, a look of seriousness etched on his face.

"As you both know, there has been a few mages terrorizing this town. They have been specifically targeting the women of our town, and they only attack at night. From what we've gathered, they have magic but not strong magic. We do not believe they are apart of a guild, since none of the victims have seen a guild mark. Luckily no lives have been lost yet. They have just been captured and brought back hours later with various bruises and marks. Specifically a slash to the cheek, we assume its their mark to show who they are and what they've done." They mayor finished, a grim look.

"Don't worry sir, we will take down these mages. No doubt." Lucy assured, feeling disgusted on the motives behind the attacks.

The Mayor thanked the pair before they were sent off, preparing for the fight ahead.

They had decided on checking into a hotel and beginning planning their strategy for the night.

Lucy looked over the map they were given, seeing that the path was aligned with homes and various forms of canopy. This would leave the perfect chance for Natsu to hide.

"So, these mages are not good people. Clearly they are causing some major damage, look outside it's evening and the streets are clear." Lucy sighed, feeling sad for the citizens of the town.

"I think that we need to lure them in. I will walk the streets, and you, of course, will be trailing behind me. But, you will remain hidden. You need to walk along to rooftops and hide in the trees. But don't do anything stupid that'll give us away." She groaned, seeing the faltering smile on the pyros face.

"Once I'm in their captivity, that's where you come in. I will give you a signal, and you'll bust in and join me. Got it? But don't do anything until I do, or else it could end in both of us getting hurt."

"Yea yea, what do you take me for? A bumbling idiot who does what he wants when he wants?" He rolled his eyes.

Lucy shrugged, nodding along. "Yea."

He groaned, pouting.

"Good, now that you're aware, we can go to bed. We'll need to be well rested for tonight." She yawned, climbing into one of the beds.

"Whatever." He mumbled, Lucy chuckling herself to sleep.
