Normal P.O.V

The celestial mage and dragon slayer had been inseparable all night, the longest was when she was with Natsu and Gray at the beginning of the evening.

The pair had started to raise suspicions from both guilds, but they didn't care at the current moment, they just wanted to be together.

With each minute passing, Lucy's feelings had grown even more for the boy in front of her. She had learned many things from the boy, such as he didn't really kill his father, the poor dragon had been sick.

But most importantly, Lucy has learned that Sting wasn't the egotistical slayer she thought he was, he was actually a very kind hearted boy.

Since his abandonment, Sting felt as if he wasn't good enough, if he couldn't save his dragon, then what was his purpose in this world?

He felt as though he needed to prove to everyone that he was in fact good enough, if not, the best there ever was. Sting had become cold in the last few years, only caring of his and Rogue's progress. The only other souls he had cared for were Lector and Frosch.

Lucy's heart ached for the boy, she wanted to tell him he was good enough. But Sting had already come to that realization once he heard the determination in Lucy's voice during the naval battle.

The way she has spoken of her family, Sting almost felt as though she was talking to him. In a way she was, she has been lecturing Minerva on the true meaning of a guild, and believe it or not, that had reached Sting.

He realized that he had been good enough, he protected his guild and he rebuilt himself from the ground up. When he thought all was lost, he found himself again.

Something in him had clicked, and he subsequently snapped at his master. Severely injuring him, and proceeding to become the next master of Sabertooth.

Lucy's heart had been touched, she was happy the boy felt good enough, but to Lucy he had always been good enough.

Granted, she was rather distressed from his presence in the beginning. But when she opened her eyes, she saw a brand new man.

All he needed was for someone to understand.
