Normal P.O.V

Just two days ago over eight guilds had been fighting side by side, trying to stay alive.

Now, they were all dancing along side each other, drinking and eating delectable foods without a care in the world.

Lucy, however, was still in her room.

She had been placed into a gorgeous deep blue ball gown that suited her beautifully. But Lucy didn't want to go to the party, in fact she hated them, they reminded her of her mother and the life she used to live.

She had fought so hard to escape her old life, and any little thing that had reminded her of it sent ripples of pain through her heart.

Before her mother passed away, her parents would throw magnificent balls, and Lucy would admire the dresses that the women would wear.

She loved standing with her parents as they greeted the guests, it was something that she cherished. However once her mother passed, her father stopped holding the dances.

Her mother always wore the same deep blue dress. Lucy thought her mother was the most beautiful woman in the world, and her dress was stunning.

Lucy wanted nothing more than to be just like her mother, she was the woman Lucy looked up to the most.

Not having her mother with her crushed her more and more everyday.

Tears formed in Lucy's eyes, she wanted nothing more than to be with her mother. She was the only one that believed in Lucy, that was Lucy's motivation to go and fight for everyone everyday.

She wants to make her mother proud.

And that's exactly what she was going to do right now.

She was going to enjoy herself and make her mother proud of how hard she fought. Deep down she knew that she pleased her mom, becoming one of the most powerful celestial mages and finding a new loving family, she just didn't want to believe it.

She gently rubbed her tears away, and took a deep breath, readying herself to have a great night. Her stomach started to bubble with excitement as she walked down the stairs leading to the giant doors that lead to the ballroom.

Without hesitation, Lucy pushed the doors open and walked in, going straight towards her guild.

They all greeted her, Lucy feeling an overwhelming sense of belonging.

She deeply loved each and every member. They each had stood by her and fought for and with her. She could not ask for another comparable family.

Sting had caught her sent and turned just as she opened the door. His breathing stopped, and his cheeks became inflamed.

He felt like he had seen an angel.
