I grabbed Rebecca as she lost her consciousness while embracing her in my arms. It pained me whenever she starts hyperventilating and going unconscious when she experiences her traumatic past. Which was why I wanted her to quickly leave the scene so that she would not watch the guards punish that rogue.
Yet, I did not expect her to turn her head and watch them prepare the equipment which brought back those awful memories. There were times she would go through blackouts for hours and hidden herself in her room for days. She was so skinny when we managed to convince her to go outside due to the weight loss of starving herself to die which terrified me a lot because I did not want her to be in this kind of state again.
I carried her up to the living room and placed her on the sofa. I mind linked Rose to tell her that Rebecca fainted again and told her to get a towel since she was having a fever. Within seconds, Rose appeared in front of me with a towel over her shoulder and holding a bucket of cold water on her hands.
She dipped the towel in the water and squeeze out the excess water from the towel and wiped Rebecca's forehead.
"I think she needs to see her doctor again, Will. I am scared that she will go out for a few days again." As Rose said with a concerned tone.
I sighed. " Okay, I will get Ryan to call her doctor to come and check-up on her as soon as possible."
Rose nodded her head in response and went back to wipe Rebecca's forehead while I mind linked Ryan.
"Ryan, please get Rebecca's doctor here ASAP. Rebecca fainted again and she has not wake up yet."
He replies. "Yes, Alpha William."
Suddenly, someone shouted from a distance. " Oh, my goodness, what happened to Belle?"
I looked over and saw Rebecca's mother who said that along with her father. They rushed over to our site and checked on her. There were tears rolling down from their cheeks.
Rebecca's Father asked. "Why is she sweating and shaking so much?"
"She just remembered the bad things that happened to her, and she went blackout. I have gotten my beta to call her doctor to come here immediately." I countered.
Her mother took out a cloth and wiped her cheeks and said, "Did this happened to her all the time?"
Rose answered. "It happens very regularly after those people did to her. She will have nightmares at night that she has to take sleeping pills in order to sleep well at night. She would also hide herself in her room for days while starving herself at the same time."
When her mother heard that, she patted Rebecca's head. "My poor baby, I am such a bad mother, I failed my duty to protect you. I am so sorry for what had happened to you. Your dad and I really fail our duty as your parents."
I plastered a sad smile. "I'm sorry but her doctor is on the way here. I need to carry her to the room. You can check up on her later after the doctor is done."
Her father says, " Okay, we will go to her room later to check up on her. Thank you and your sister for taking good care of our daughter over these years."
My sister and I nod our heads in response and I slowly lifted Rebecca up to carry her.
When I was carrying her, there were people from my pack and Alpha Blake pack looking at us, but I just ignored them and focused on Rebecca. When we reached her room, I saw Alpha Blake leaning against the outside of her room door.
When he saw us, he said with a worried tone. "What happened to her?"
I replied. "Ask her parents. They will give you the information. For now, please just do us a favor and leave us alone for the doctor to check up on her."
I ignored his and I opened and closed the door with Rose following me behind and I place Rebecca down on her bed.
Ryan mind linked me, "Her doctor is here."
"Okay, please show her the way up."
When her doctor came in, she asked. "Has she been taking the medication that I have prescribed for her?"
"Yes, I am always making sure that she takes it after her meals."
She smiled. "Okay, good. I think she just needs some rest. I will give her IV drip for now to stabilize her condition and to hydrate her. She will be up soon for a couple of hours and please make sure that after she wakes up, she takes this medication immediately. " As she shows me the medication and place it on the table next to her bed.
"Thank you, Doctor Suzy. But may I ask what she has been sharing with you since her recent visit to your clinic."
She sighed. "You two may want to sit down to listen."
Rose and I sat down on the chair wanting to listen to what the doctor is going to say. I gulped down my saliva, worrying that she may tell us some bad news.
She explained. "I've noticed that there is a big fear hidden within her. She has been sharing with me some dreams that she has. She says something like her kidnapper is not dead yet."
"How can that be? I remember shooting her kidnapper with a silver bullet in his back and I have also burned the area down,"
She stated that. "I am not sure, but she did say that he has been in her dreams for quite some time. I am afraid that her nightmare is taking a toll on her mental health."
" No wonder she has been very tired lately," As Rose said.
"I can prescribe her some stronger sleeping pills if she needs one of it but make sure she does not take too much of it all else. If not, she will have a drug overdose. And please help me inform her that I want to book an appointment with her again just in case of her current condition," she laid it out.
"Ok sure. I will."
I shake the doctor's hand and Ryan leads her out. I looked at my beautiful angel sleeping and even though she is not my mate, I will do anything to make her mine even if it means I have to die for her. I hold her hands and make a small circle on her palm like I always did.
Suddenly barged into the room without knocking first. Ryan announced." We need you down at the prison, Alpha William. Something bad has happened."
Rose POV
William's mind linked informing me that Rebecca fainted again, makes me feel scared and worried. The last time it happened, she almost tried to kill herself again.
Listening to what the doctor says about Rebecca's condition, it seems as if she feels that her dreams are real and that she allows them to consume her.
I felt guilty because I was the one who pulled her into this mess. I should not have run far away from my brother when we were playing. All this will not have happened if I had just let my brother catch me.
That is why I tried to make up for Rebecca by doing things for her like accompanying her out shopping and attending her concerts.
I just hope that all of these come to an end for her, and she will not have to suffer any more pain.
