Did Kimmy just say what I think she said.

"BECAUSE IM IN LOVE WITH YOU.."
replayed in my mind all night. Hearing her confess this love I didnt know existed.

Its been a couple of hours. I had no clue how I felt. My best friend just told me she was in love with me. She's been my best friend since birth.

I had been calling her all night. Neither her sister or mother knew where she was.

KIMMY POV

I dont know where im going. I just have to get away.

"Is Dr.Hamilton here?"
"Yes, she is in her office."
"Thank you"

I ran to her office.

"Kimmy, what are you doing here? Our next session isn't until Tuesday."
"I told her. I told her I was in love with her."
"How do you feel?"
"I dont know. I feel like I shouldn't have said anything. I shoulda just been quiet."
"What did she say?"
"I dont know"

"What you mean you dont know?"
"I kinda ran out after I told her."
"Kimmy, there is no point of telling her if you dont see how she feels. Whose to say she doesnt feel the same way? You gotta go back and talk to her sweetheart"
"I can't. I just cant."
"Yes. You. Can. Stop being a punk. Go get yo girl."
"I can't"
"Why not? Just tell me why can't you"
"Because hospital visiting hours are over and I didnt sign to spend the night."
"Hospital?"
"Yeah, shes been there these past two weeks."
"And your just telling me , why?"
"It never came up."

She sighed.

"Alright. Go home, get some sleep. First thing in the morning, you go to that hospital and speak to nola, am I understood?"
"Yes, thank you."
"For what? this is my job."
"For everything. you've been here for me for years. Thank you."
"No problem Kimmy. You're my favorite patient. Now go home snd sleep."
"Okay."

I didnt want to go home. I wasnt going to go home.

But I always thought you'd come back, tell me all you found was heartbreak and misery

Thats all I heard as I got in my car. The same song I sung to Nola the first day she was in the hospital. The same song that made me fall in love with her. The same song that makes me miss her.

NOLA POV
"Yeah, she just ran out. I dont know where she went godmoma, im sorry."
"Did she say anything before she left?"
"Nah, we were sitting here watching Martin and she just ran out."
"Okay, Ill call around."

Ill be damned if i told Kimmy moma about what she said.
"Because im in love with you.."

Once godmoma left, My auntie smirked at me.

"She told you didnt she?"
"Told me what?"
"that she was in love with you."
"Yeah, you lost me."
"You little hoes must thing Im really stupid like I dont know when yall lying."
"Wellll."
"What did you say for her to run out like that?"
"I didnt say anything! She told me and left.Just like that," i said snapping my fingers.
"Fuck. You know how Kimmy can be. I just dont need her doing something stupid. Yall need to talk."
"I...I dont know how I feel Auntie. Like, thats my best freaking friend. I never even thought of her that way. Yeah, there was sometimes we would have sexual tension but I didnt think much of it. I never fucking knew. My best fucking friend who i've been buddy buddy with since I was 10 told me she was in love with me. How am I supposed to take that? Its tew much."
" I know baby, I know.But you gotta put yourself in her shoes. She been holding that in for YEARS. And it took you almost dying to tell you.
So now that she told you, she probably think you hate her guts or dont look at her the same."

" I dont though. Thats my baby.No matter what. My friend till the end."
"As soon as you see her, I mean as SOON as you see her. You two need to sit down and talk. Because you know her mind is so fragile since her dad passed and I dont know what she capable of. And I fear that she could hurt herself or worse."
"I know Auntie. Thats why im scared. But its getting late, you should get home to KJ."
"Are you sure?I could let him stay with his dad tonight?"
"Yeah, I just want to be alone right now."
"Okay baby, call me if you need anything. I love you"
"I love you too"

After Auntie left, It was just me and my mind.
Left to calculate what the fuck just happened in the last 24 hours
