"Push Padme," Anakin gently encouraged his now conscious wife who laid out on the operating table in front of him. "That's it, Sweetheart... Just like that..."

Padme was induced into labor about twenty minutes before so now, things were getting to the good part. Nevaeh wiped his brow before standing up, "Take a breather, Lady Vader. I'll be back in a moment with a cleansing droid; the first baby is almost ready to be born!" With that, the grey-haired doctor strolled out of the operating room and walked past Rex and a snoozing Melanie who had returned not to long before.

"Anakin," She gasped, clutching his mechanical hand with both of her own. "It h-hurts..." Anakin leaned over her, pecking her lips softly as he cupped her soft cheek with his flesh hand.

"I know Angel, it'll be over soon," He pecked her lips once more. Even without makeup on her face and her hair wasn't all done up in some fancy hairstyle, Padme couldn't have looked more angelic to him. "We'll have two more beautiful little Skywalker's to drive us crazy with their perfection..."

Padme couldn't help but to scowl at him, "Are you sure it's not two little Vader's, My Lord?" Though she mocked him harshly, he couldn't stop smiling at her. Anakin let out a light chuckle. "I'm sure; Vader is nothing more than a name given to me by the late Lord Sidious," He got eye-to-eye with her, gazing deep within the chocolate pools that he had grown to adore.

"I am Anakin Skywalker, you're Padme Amidala-Skywalker and out there," He nodded towards the glass viewing window. "...is our beautiful little girl, Melanie Skywalker. In a little bit, two more children who I know will look as angelic as you will be Skywalker's. Speaking of which, what names are we going to give them?"

Padme's scowl softened into a blissful expression the more he spoke; he has no idea how much he means to me, she thought to herself. She cleared her throat, "I was thinking for our little girl's name, perhaps maybe Shmi after your mother or Leia..."

Anakin thought about it for a moment, "Not that I don't want to honor my mother or anything but I like Leia as a first name, perhaps maybe Leia Shmi or Leia Amidala Skywalker?" Padme nodded as a soft grin broke out onto her face, "Perfect. Now what about for the boy?"

"I like the name Luke to go with Leia, what do you think?"

Padme's grin only grew wider as she laughed softly next to him. "Luke and Leia Skywalker, I love it! What about his middle name though?"

Anakin bit the corner of his lip, "Luke Ruwee maybe?" She shook her head at his suggestion, "Not that I don't wanna honor my dad or anything but he always told us that he was teased because of his name. I don't want Luke to have to go through that. How about... Luke Anakin? No, I take that back, maybe we could just make him Ani junior?"

Now it was Anakin's turn to shake his head, "Nope, there is only one Anakin and that would be me. Hmm, what about-"

"Luke Obi-Wan?"

He froze at her suggestion, his mind reeling with an internal confliction not even the great Anakin Skywalker could put aside. On one hand, Obi-Wan turned on him in his time of need when only Obi-Wan's guidance could have perhaps changed his choices. On the other side, Anakin couldn't over look the obvious; Kenobi had been a friend to him, a father and a mentor...

Anakin shook his head, "Luke Skywalker, no middle name." Before Padme could protest, Doctor Nevaeh re-entered the operating room with two nurse droids.

"My lady, its time..."

"Did it work, Sir?"

Anakin turned around and stepped back from the hospital bed, letting Rex see the sleeping beauty on her bed. "Yeah," Anakin ran a hand through his hair. "She's stable and when I give them the word, they'll inject her with the antidote. That being said, she didn't take so much that an antidote is the only way to wake her up. There is a real chance of her waking up on her own."

Rex nodded in a silent understanding, "How are the little ones?"

Anakin crossed over to the far corner of the room where two little hover cribs floated in sync. In the right crib laid his new daughter, Leia Shmi Skywalker, who was looking up at him with her big brown eyes that matched her dark brown curls. In the left crib laid his only son, Luke Skywalker, who's icy blue eyes were closed shut as the little blond slept peacefully.

"They're beautiful sir," Rex couldn't help but admit to his boss. "Congratulations to you and the Mrs." Anakin smirked and pulled Rex into a man hug, patting his back in a brotherly manor. "Thanks Uncle Rex," He teased, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "You never did answer me earlier; I know it'd mean the world to Melanie if you made it official."

Rex shook his head, "Brothers are blood relatives, Sir-" Anakin cut him off. "Brothers stick together and have each other's back come hell or high water. Rex, you've had a great impact on my life and you've always been like a brother to me. Even if we aren't related by blood, you'll always be my brother in my eyes."

Now it was the soldier's turn to smirk, "I will make it official on one condition."

"And what's that?"

"I don't have to call you sir, ever again."

The two broke out in a small fit of manly laughter, Anakin shaking Rex's shoulders as he slung an arm around him. "I wouldn't have it any other way, Rex. Where's Melanie?"

Rex looked down at Leia, reaching down and letting the small newborn wrap her fingers around one of his own. "She's asleep on that bench by the door, covered up by your cloak."

"Rex..."

Rex turned around, "What?" He had laid Melanie there on the bench but now all that laid across the teal-cushioned furniture was Anakin's brown cloak.

"Oh Sith."
