Chapter 2 - No Escape

Awoken from her painful slumber, Ochako opened her eyes, revealing a very blurry image surrounding her. She felt sick, dizzy, scared and confused. She doesn't know what was happening anymore.

Her arms carried her body up weakly but she feels an awful sting coming from her ankle. She hissed at it and groaned.

She glanced at her swollen and fractured ankle. She couldn't take in the pain. It hurts. Everywhere hurts.

She looked around the place. It appears that she seems to be inside an uncertain room. It wasn't the same room full of those dead bodies.

Imagining it already makes her sick and wanted to throw up again. That scene was very disturbing and disgusting.

The room she was in looked normal but dark. The sun shone through the curtains in one window. It seemed to be morning.

She gasped and widened her eyes as she jumped off the bed.

"Ah!" She screamed when she landed her swollen foot on the floor to walk to the window and fell down terribly.

Instead, she crawled her way there and carried herself with one foot only to prevent feeling the pain. She set aside the curtains and tried to unlock the window.

"Come on..." She said under her heavy breathing, clanking the lock of the window trying to open it. "Come on!"

Tears formed in her eyes and she began whimpering lowly. "Shit."

She let go, unable to unlock the window. It appeared to be locked with a safe lock which required a key. She was completely trapped.

"You should stay in bed, you're still injured."

Her eyes widened in horror and gasped sharply. Her whole body began to wobble and sweated. She was terrified just by hearing that voice.

Her head turned back to find him standing near the door frame, leaning onto it. He stared into her horrified eyes and trembling mouth.

He spoke. "Get in bed."

Her legs were shaking, unable to take a single step. Nothing can escape from her mouth with the words she wanted to say. Like — "Stay away from me, Take me out of here, I'm scared." But she didn't say it in the end. Why is that?

Since she didn't respond at all but just gave him silence and an awkward stare, he sighed frustratingly and walked towards her.

Her body subconsciously fell down as she felt her ankle gave in. She's not sure if it's because of his approaching or just her fractured ankle. But she was still frightened by him.

"Come here." He went in closer to try to carry her up.

"No." She whispered under breath, pushing him slightly away.

He clicked his tongue, irritated by her rude actions. "I'm just trying to put you to bed."

"Let go of me."

"Just let me bring you to bed."

"Stay away from me!" She screamed louder this time.

She harshly pushed him down on the floor. He landed down and stared at her with disbelief. She breathed in uncontrollably and stared at him, scooting away.

He furrowed his eyebrows in anger and stomped away. "Fine! If that's how you want it, have it your way! I'll just throw the food I made and don't ever bother begging me if you're hungry!"

He slammed the door shut loudly which made her jolted. She then heard him locked it after that. "I don't care! I'd rather starved to death than to eat your damn food!"
