The sky turned darker shades of blue as night started falling, the soft breeze of air filled the atmosphere like warm refreshments. Fairylights lit up the fountain, dancing little yellow lights stretched across the width of the street from one building to another.

To the corner, a bit far from the fountain setting and close to the buildings a buffet was getting set up. Poles of red and white balloons stood around circling the whole scene.

Amidst all stood a table for two, a simple wooden table with a wine red silk clothing on top. Rose petals scattered messily around covering the table, a few on the chairs and the floor under. Lit candles stood across the table between the two chairs and empty wine glasses.

The perfect romantic date they never had.

"You've got to be ******* kidding me!"

Shouted Taehyung as he arrived at the scene, his eyes wide, brows furrowed in confusion and disgust as he approached the short haired woman.

"Keep it down, you're finally here. Did you get the delivery?"

"You called my restaurant for a grand buffet order and asked me to come for this?!" He screamed pointing at the the two-chaired table near the fountain.

"I thought you were holding a party!!"

"I am, Taehyung." She motioned to the waiters and cooks to set the food on the long table. Fancy plates of desserts, pastries and full course meals.

"THIS?? THIS!?" He shouted madly as he looked around, "Why are you so casual?"

He gripped her arm strongly, turning her to look his way.

"Isn't it enough? What you did?" she pulled her arm back, "I'm doing this for Eun, she deserves better from us."

"You're supporting him?!"

"I am her friend, I will support her no matter what. We can only advice her not control her," she spewed words at him, "now why don't you do your job as a friend for once and stop obsessing?"

Taehyung furrowed his brows, it was true, he was her friend before anything. She was a priority before his feelings came in picture. He walked around slowly and slightly leaned on the buffet table, eyeing everyone helping around. His eyes stung in jealousy as he pouted, he saw Hoseok sitting on the pavement with a girl, giggling and laughing as they fed each other.

He smirked,

I have everything you don't yet you have the only thing I am craving for.

Shifting his gaze to the table with the flower petals, he couldn't help but cringe.

"There's too much petals," he spoke to no one.

"Really? Nara said Eun liked flowers." A kid covered in petals and sweat pulled out a coke next to him.

"Not on the chair, she will find it uncomfortable."

"Oh," Jungkook said. Earlier, he had thrown the whole bag of petals over the table, not thinking what is landing where. He couldn't have possibly set each petal on its own so he turned the bag content out and patted the petals harshly to look more well kept, except for it didn't and flower petals scattered everywhere including himself.

Taehyung eyed the couple again as they sat on the pavement, he couldn't help but find the woman familiar.

"Aren't you one of my waitresses?"

She turned her head up at him, eyes widened in shock. The man sitting next to her glared.

"Yes, Mr Kim," she squeaked out scared of what was to come next.

Taehyung hummed again and looked away, he couldn't stand the place or the people. His worker got herself a relationship with a poor lad while he just stood there and she found none but Jimin's friend.

Pathetic, he thought.

He was pathetic.

"I am leaving before this place gets any more cringy even though I doubt it could." He waved his hand and skidded to his car.

"He's sooo jealous," said the youngest shaking his head slowly watching the man leave them.

"I know, right!" Hoseok laughed off holding his lover's hand tightly. "Did you call Jimin though?"

"Yea the love birds are on their way," he said, stuffing two simon fimme in his mouth at once.

"Y'all are eating already?! Wait for the party!" Namjoon shouted as he came by, he kept moving his arms around, flailing.

"If I could eat flower petals, hyung, I would have," he sneered pointing at the mess he made.

"Jungkook, you had one job!"

They walked, the two figures. Same posture, same worry, same stern faces yet different atmospheres, different paths.

One of them crossed lit paved streets, dusted with the glitter and fine gold dust of people walking through, shops of jewelry displaying their high end products in windows.

The other crossed dimmed alleyways, moist and wet from the high humidity at such a narrow place, the outworn pipes reeking of a disgusting smell and scratches of little rodents on the old walls could be heard.

Neither of them knew about the attendance of the other, they just got phone calls asking them to be at the fountain by nine o'clock. They agreed, the overthinking got them nowhere and they needed air to breathe.

Their eyes lit up at the sudden warm atmosphere by the fountain, watching the people they knew to be family, friends and enemies. It was indescribable, the overwhelming confusion that filled their minds and bodies and amidst all smiles and glee they got, they could only recognise each other.

Looking across the fountain, on the other side their sparkly eyes met, a whole new feeling washed over their bodies. That moment the walls collided, rich and poor was equal, no strings held them back from each other, no boundaries or levels stood them apart.

It was that moment their eyes locked that they knew, it was going to be the best night of their lives.
