Arc 2: Fairy Empress and her Emperor ♤ ♡ ♢ ♧ Chapter 5: Assasination

Hè Meifeng's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night. The moon was shining outside. I looked at Intel lazily as he keeper on spinning around me.

"What is it?" I asked Intel as I yawned?

[The assassins had arrived early due to your arrival and changing of the plot. Please be warned to not die to finish the mission! (ó﹏ò｡)] Intel said. I nodded and went back to sleep.

"Miss! Miss! There are assassins in the palace! We better leave now!" My maid shooked me awake. I lazily nodded and stood up and wobbled a bit as I walked to grabbed some warm clothes and quickly left my room with my maid pushing me towards the secret exit.

Before we could leave, a scream came from Dài Yuan's room. I went over and quickly saw her maid, dead on the floor with it's head cut off. Dài Yuan was sobbing for help and I quickly went over and slapped her.

[You have completed one of the missions: Slap all concubine's faces (5/5)]

Dài Yuan looked at me with shock. "You dare slap this consort's face!?" She yelled angrily, forgetting how she was crying earlier. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying and made men want to protect her.

"If I didn't slap this great one's face you would still be crying! Your maid is trying to save you but you stayed here in the palace with assassins to cry!? We need to leave now!" I grabbed her arm and dragged her away.

In the corner of my eye, I see Cheng Liqin fighting with one of the assassins. I walked quickly with hurried and silent steps but Dài Yuan was being careless and accidentally tripped or maybe it was me dragging her too hard.

"Ah!" Cheng Liqin looked over to see her sister tripped near them. As Cheng was distracted, the assassin tried to cut his neck but Cheng's instinct took over and  dodged leaving a small cut in his neck.

"Let us go quickly!" They ran, their footsteps echoed through the silent halls where assassins may be lurking in a dark corner.

Cheng caught up to us and we were running as fast as we can to the secret entrance. We arrived at a wall and my maid pushed some button and the wall shooked and the wall opened. They quickly ran inside and escaped from the palace.

"We are free now! We need to leave quickly and inform someone!" Dài Yuan spoke. I nodded at her and looked at my maid.

"We need some place to rest. Lead us somewhere please." She nodded as we walked quietly while looking everywhere just in case and arrived at an inn and stayed inside. Everyone stayed in a different room. It was a very tiring evening and everyone slept like logs and woke up nearing afternoon.

My maid has already prepared breakfast for us so we are at our rooms and took a bath and left. We didn't know what to do but we wanted to leave the capital and be somewhere else.

"Yuan-er? Where is your secret bodyguard? I thought you had one?" I asked.

"I sent him on a mission to do something. He'll find me soon. No need to worry about him." She answered. I nodded as we rode inside the carriage and left.

Everyone by now knew of the news and was glad that the emperor was alive. Turns out, the sword dancing man that a consort brought was one of the assassins who disguised himself to learn about the area and where each one lives.

They also were looking for the general until Cheng Liqin decided to write a letter to the emperor saying that he will resign from being a a general and has went far away. The emperor was glad that his friend was alive and was very happy when Dīng Xiuyang loved him back.

He then married her and made her empress and everyone called her The fairy empress because of her kindness to the people and children. Everyone forgot about the assassination and the assassins was tortured to death and so were their family and friends.

Why is their no hearts u ask? Or u don't really care but imma tell u anyway!
I changed my keyboard and now there are no hearts but it was replaced by kaomojis! I can now have easy access to kaomojis so I replaced the hearts with triangles!
